Whoa that Marvels Monster Sized OHC is very tempting. But storing it will be a pain
Im back! With more questions. There are many lists out there that have reading orders or recommended reading for Marvel Cosmos, such as Annihilation, War of Kings ect. However im not seeing a whole lot about modern comics.
Donnie Cates is a name I see floating around. I know he did Dr.Strange, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Venom, and GotG. But does that connect with Durgans Gotg? What about Infinity Wars? How much can I actually skip and how much should I actually invest in?
Bonus points if anyone can tell me more (quality wise) about Immortal Hulk. Thanks everyone! :)
I think Donny Cates' GotG has some ties to Infinity Wars, but you are probably fine to skip it and jump right into Cates' series. I've heard many good things about his Venom, so that is probably worth checking out. I read his Doctor Strange series and it was very good, but when you read it you need to read its crossover with Damnation as well. His Thanos run is awesome, and you need to read it before reading Cosmic Ghost Rider.
I have heard good things about Immortal Hulk but never read it. People have called it a "horror" title, which doesn't appeal to me so I haven't looked at it.
-
A couple of titles there I'll have to add to the shelves. I'd like to see a Marvel Two-in One Omnibus at some point.
Whoa that Marvels Monster Sized OHC is very tempting. But storing it will be a pain
I seriously questioned why they made that recent "remastered" edition a paperback and not an oversized hardcover. Now this is announced and is super-duper-absolutely-ridiculously oversized! I'll be honest though, there's a good chance I'll buy this, especially if it's 50% off week of release. Storage be damned, I'll keep it near my front door to bludgeon any unwanted intruders.

I agree it'll take another Hulk solo movie, Hulk anniversary to get a reprint of TIH SA vol.1 which I'd hope also means a TIH SA vol.2 is coming.
When we've gotten SA reprint Omni's usually a new volume is coming in that line. In this case ASM SA vol.4, also, would that be the last SA volume? Does ASM start to get into BA territory and if so should we just start call it ASM vol.5 if that were to happen?
Same for Surfer, probably take there being a Silver Surfer(series 3) vol.1 Omni happening in order to get the BA Omni reprinted.

I'm glad I waited and not paid scalpers prices for the ASM vol.1.

They could have done a Omnibus new printing of the original Silver Surfer as a tribute to Stan since it was known to have been one of his favourites series that he wrote to the extent that when it was cancelled towards the end of the 1960s he was so disappointed that allegedly he had it forbidden for anyone else to write a new Silver Surfer book and no one did until well into the 1980s.
