Power Creep is definitely a thing in Naruto, but I feel the need to point out that that fight *did* involve resurrecting the dead, overwriting the will of the first and second Hokage, and summoning a God of Death that had previously been used to seal away Kyuubi when he was being described as capable of causing tidal waves with a wave of one of his tails, which are still pretty impressive feats by the end of the series, IMO.
