A simple question about BB code

I've been wondering if there is a way to make vertical lines between text?

I figured it'd work like the example below:

[columns]first column text here[nextcol]second column text here[/columns]

But apparently not.

Any help would be appreciated.

None that I know of.

Here is a list of the BB codes that are allowed on the forums. Those some, such as the HTML Code tag, are disabled on most of the site.

Just thought of some thing that might be what you are looking for. You can do Tables with outlines.

[table="width: 500, class: grid, align: left"]
[tr]
[td]1[/td]
[td]2[/td]
[/tr]
[tr]

[td]4[/td]
[/tr]
[tr]
[td]5[/td]
[td]6[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

And here is the BB code for the above example. Though it is a little easier if you use the "Go Advanced" post mode. You can hit the Table icon and a pop-up will let you type in the values you want.
