Aren't we forgetting...

Miles, Kamala, and Sam are a modern Amazing Friends.
This just looks like another Web Warriors group, which begs the question why they even bothered canceling USM if they still wanted to promote more Spider-characters in a Spider-Man show :p?

To attract new viewers when there's a movie out. Also an excuse to recast Spidey's voice, as Drake Bell has been a bit naughty...

Well, I won't complain about a new Spider-Man voice :p.
If they wanted to attract new viewers, couldn't they have just rebranded the series like they've been doing with USM and Assemble? Though maybe that's what they've actually done here...

Not that I ever watched Ultimate Spider-Man but what did Drake Bell do?

Really hope MJ has a bigger presence here. She was kinda left out to dry in the current one.
Oh, and can Anya FINALLY get in a Spider-Man series? Like c'mon...
They made USM into just a bunch of male Spiders on the main cast.

Ah. So the usual thing for an American Celebrity then.

I wouldn't be surprised if MJ barely appears in this cartoon, especially with Gwen being so prominent.
Unless they give her powers and a Superhero costume again...

It's probably going to be awhile before RYV is reflected in the animated shows in any way. :p

Or an adult Peter Parker :p.

That goes without saying. :p

I still hope this cartoon be much better than USM (at least - better first 2 seasons). And if we have Spider-Gwen, I hope - she not from other reality, and have unique backstory.
And I hope, if they make season 2, in team appeared MJ with Spider Powers. And in costume from Mangaverse: http://cs837326.vk.me/v837326782/b727/45lzbLpAb2s.jpg
And of her as superheroine will be more than in USM.

It is a shame if mj is mia... But she may be as they seem to hate having MJ and Gwen both active in Peter's life at the same time.
On the other hand I still hope Anya can debut at some point.

I don't see how and why Spider-Gwen should be the reason for omitting MJ from the show. Especially as Gwen is paired up with Miles now, not Peter.

Unless she has powers and a Superhero, I would expect MJ to be very marginalized in favor of Gwen, if she's even in the show, particularly given the trend of Marvel Animation to barely utilize supporting characters or love interests and Marvel's heavy promotion of Gwen.
Plus, I'm not confident Slott/Wacker would make Mary Jane an integral part of a Spider-Man cartoon :p.
