Read on twitter that its taken from Norse myth, maybe has something to do with Yimir?
Hippolyta is part of Justice League Viking which is DC's version of Avengers of 1,000,000 BC.

That doesn't sound like a bad concept. So long as they don't acknowledge that, you know the "Hey, Diana, we were also a team one time long ago". I imagine it was more of a reluctant joining of forces rather then a genuine partnership.

Looks like it'll tie into Hippolyta's past somehow. From scanning the solicitations it seems like a bit of a filler event.[/QUOTE]
Marz writing part of this with someone called Frost King reminds me of the Glacier Stone stuff from his Witchblade run.
Its a long shot, but since Hippolyta is here it would be nice to relate this to Minister Blizzard
I see there's no Wonder Woman tie-in so I can ignore this event completely. Unless they bring in mah gurl Blue Snowman, of course.
I’m liking the times’ past assemblage of characters.
I have a Wonder Woman story jotted down somewhere that included the Hawks and Black Adam from Johns’s redevelopment of them in JSA that included Hippolyta and other time’s past characters having to come together to stop a Wonder foe.
This seems not unlike that, so I’m in.
Black Adam looks like he’s compensating for something there. :p
Wonder how long ago this is supposed to be, I think the Amazons are supposed to have gone into isolation before the Trojan War and Adam’s usually been around since when the Pyramids were being built.
Art preview for Endless Winter. Main takeway is Porter seems to draw a better Diana than he did during Morrison's JLA.

Picked this up today. Immediately turned off by the continuity weirdness of Diana referencing her time as "God of War". It's wild how even the mention of a story choice I didn't like can sour me on a comic...
Either way I'm confused. Wasn't that God of War thing retconned out by Rebirth as a lie? Has she continued to mention it anywhere else?
I wasn't a fan either. I don't know why they keep making references about Diana being the God of War when that part of her history was wiped out. Do the editors just not care?
At least it's always a delight to see Catman.

Yeah, other than that annoyance not much to talk about when it comes to Diana for this. :p
Hopefully something interesting with Hippolyta at least.
It's been so long that I had honestly forgotten about the God of War thing, which made it all the more random to see them bring it up here.
The events of the New 52 Wonder Woman happened. the Themyscira stuff was probably fabricated either as fake memories or using a fake Themyscira, but she WAS God of War in this continuity. It's been referenced before.
Jason existing in not one, but two different writers' runs should show you that.
