this is great juan678 i'm going to add it to the original post :) It touches on the machine that Thanos used to change her perception.
She doesn't seem very deadly anymore. More a shadow of her former self. All she does is get beaten up pretty badly by anyone and everyone in GOG.
I agree, that was my problem with the movie too there just wasn't any writing for the character or shining moments.
In the new ongoing Pearlman said she will be exploring "the time in Gamora’s life where she went from being Thanos’ pet assassin to realizing that she was capable of so much more" and it "kicks off on Gamora’s 18th birthday, we get to meet her when she is still entrenched as Thanos’ adopted daughter" The book Is going to be about Revenge for the genocide of her people.
I can only hope it's going to be compelling at least now that she won't need to share spotlight with other members of GOTG and the new ongoing is based on her past.

So, is continuity just completely out the window now? The comics universe is now aping the movies? Nebula is now a robot, born a robot, and is raised by Thanos? You know, rather than a flesh and blood space pirate who claimed to be Thanos's relative, drew his ire, was destroyed and then put back together as an android? Does anybody even bother to read character bios before writing comics anymore? Or is the only prerequisite watching a movie?
Uggh.
