From last night: Ben Simmons had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in his NBA debut to go along with 18 points and 13 rebounds from Joel Embiid, unfortunately, the Sixers had no answers for the Wizards' explosive backcourt tandem of John Wall (28 points) and Bradley Beal (25 points) in a 120-115 opening night loss to Washington.

Gordon Hayward out for the year. Not coming back during regular season nor playoffs.
See him at the start of Celtics training camp next fall.
-
My Trail Blazers started the season right - they set a new NBA record for the largest margin of victory on Opening Night - 48 points. They led by 58 at one point but rested the starters and let the rookies play the 4th quarter (they won all four quarters anyway).
Tomorrow they'll get their starting 2-guard back, so they'll be even better. Look out Indiana!

and the Knicks got blown out, yay
another season of mediocrity
maybe we will get that first win in less than 3 weeks

In this league, without a point guard?...To bad someone like Kyrie Irving wasn't available. :p

Melo is gone so its a good first step
the Knicks were in the running, but weren't willing to give up the draft picks
also Melos BS no trade clause
BASKETBALL IS BACK!
The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Boston Celtics with Kyrie Irving in the Season Opener! LeBron James is a game-time decision (ankle).
Then the Golden State Warriors get their rings tonight to face the Houston Rockets with Chris Paul!
Predictions? Both for tonight's games and the rest of the 2017-2018 regular season?
It's a Ball night!
My Predictions on who will make playoff & their seeding.. Probably will adjust my some of predictions by the allstar break..
Wizard or Bucks
Cavs
Bucks or Wizard
Raptors
Boston
76ers
Heat
Hornets or Hawks
GSW
OKC
Rockets
SAS
T-Wolves
T-Blazers
Grizzlies
Pelicans
-
The Cavs that played tonight looked much more impressive than the team from opening night
Once Lue gets a set rotation down this team is going to be the best iteration yet even minus Kyrie, because the depth is ridiculous
-
Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram actually balled out last night, sure it was against the Suns, but you know small steps.

Very true, long-term I'm more concerned about imgram then Ball.. sometimes it seems like he can't shoot or score at all when defend.
Also Lakers need to change their starting line up to this imo asap :
Ball
Clarkson
Ingram
Randle
Lopez

Boogie and the brow are very fun to watch, playing 2 & half on vs 5 will not work out well long term. Their SG & SF range from God awful to average imo and holiday is average at Best in my opinion as well.. Someone from the Pelicans organization need to go overseas or go to the G-League or Big3 or some where & find them some help.. Vince Carter right now it's probably better than any of their current SG or SF. Trade for him lol.
I'm confident Nate Robinson, Steven Jackson, Paul Pierce, Monta Ellis, Matt Banes, Barbosa, Boris Diaw, Gerald Green, Brandon Jennings, Rodney Stuckey, Derrick Williams, the Ghost of Mike Miller & the Ghost of Deron Williams are better than most of the Pelicans roster.

The Clippers just put 130 on the Suns, I think Phoenix is just that bad, they have yet to hold a team under 124 points, and two of their three losses have been by 40+
-
After relatively close losses in their first two games, my Sixers, without Joel Embiid (who doesn't play back-to-back games) were blown away north of the border in a 128-94 loss to Toronto last night.
-
Giannis Antetokounmpo will become an utterly scary hybrid of LeBron James and Kevin Durant before the end of this regular season.
And finish as a top-5 League MVP finalist at a minimum.

The new season isn't even a week old and we've already had our first head coach get the chop as, according to Bleacher Report, Earl Watson was relieved of his duties by Phoenix after an 0-3 start.
