I vote worstblogever!
LordMikel for me.
Our favourite time of the week is at an end, and the rules must be obeyed. The voters played the cards, and the judges will decide.
One vote to each babyblob, CSTowle, Kai "the spy", nx01a, SquirrelMan, and WestPhillyPunisher!
Two votes each to CaptainEurope, Icctrombone, Iron Maiden, MRP, Scott Taylor, and Zelena!
Runnerup with three votes is worstblogever!
And the winner takes it all, with four votes is ChadH! He sure threw some shade at this competition…
As usual, feel free to doublecheck the tallying.
Congrats to ChadH! And thanks to seismic-2 for the vote on my entry!
Cheers, ChadH!
Congratulations ChadH!
Congratulations, ChadH and thank you for the vote! :)
And thank you too for the vote, Captain Europe. :)
Great Job ChadH!
Thanks to WPP for the vote.
@ Kirby I was thinking of the cover from the issue before the one I posted because it does have Blackie Drago flying above Spiderman and it was pretty cool but I went with the one I did because it also had Kraven and I loved that 3 way fight.
@ Iron Maiden. The Stan Lee/John Romita Sr era of Spiderman is my favorite all time of Spiderman. I love it even more then the Lee Ditko Era. I am looking more into John Romita Sr the last few weeks as he has become a very quick all time favorite of mine. if you have any recommendations I would love to hear them.
Congratulations to ChadH! :)
Congratulations to Chad, your favorite was the favorite here!
And thanks to everyone for sharing your favorite cover with us.
Congratulations, ChadH! And thanks to Tami for the mention and to Kirby for a great theme this week.
Yay, ChadH!
Congratulations to ChadH for a Definitely Colorful cover. The representation of fluidity using material (I think, after all, it is Shade) is exciting.
The captain has learned in the Peak of the Week that favorites are truly unique to an individual and our tastes all differ. Some of us have very defined characteristics and our favorites seem almost like a rubber stamp. With others we get some idea, but still can be surprised. And with some, it's often a case of "I never knew that!". It's always fun seeing the representations and each person's feelings. The cover is the page which is meant to sell the book. This idea was pretty much it back in Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age times. In those days we had a scene from the book and titles, as well as promotional text. Rarely, we would get a generic but well drawn poster cover which appealed to us. As seen in my choice and my vote, I like the covers which show us what's actually in the book. Each issue is different and we need something that will properly differentiate issue X from issue X+1. Or I'd like that anyway.
And don't get me started about issues with multiple variant cover. A funny book does not need more covers than inside story pages.
Wasn’t expecting to win with all the great covers this week.
Thank you those who voted for me.
Thanks to Kirby for a fun contest this week.
I’ll get another going when I get home from work tonight.
