That’s it, thank you :)
About time DC released an omnibus of this series.

The charm is in not knowing the answer to it. I feel it that way. Once you know the answer its the end. (I still say its Superman. Look at the Superboy panel i posted. :p).
I found an interesting article with the same question.

That would still be up for debate even if it was in continuity. But a lot of the SA is no longer in continuity and hasn't been for decades. The earlier panels posted on page 1 of this thread are far more relevant to current continuity. Barry clearly races away from Superman in Flash Rebirth. in current continuity Flash is fast enough to break the temporal barrier while Superman is not.

I love the series but it was hard for me to swallow that. I chalk it down to Flash's muscles starting to deteriorate and slowing down enough for Captain Marvel.

I haven't read that book in so long. Wasn't Flash just moving at a constant speed? If he was pushing himself as fast as possible he would be time traveling.

Yeah that's right actually. Thanks.

Come to think of it an interpretation of Justice would make a great template for JL2! Definitely one of the better minis this century.

I've always wanted to see it. Much more interesting than singular villains.

I agree about current continuity. But how long is a continuity a continuity? Tomorrow they can say lets have Superman break the time barrier.
If we are discussing in SA continuity then yes there can be an interesting debate. Right now they make Flash faster. That's alright. As the article i posted said, when you let Superman loose you don't loose much. He has other things going on for him. But when you let Flash loose you let him loose almost everything.
At the same time reducing Superman by a large margin is not a good idea. The article mentions that Superman's design is such that he is good at everything. That's how he was made even then, when he could lift cars and not push around planets. He looses something if he is completely outmatched. For design comparison look at Goku. His character is such that the enemies he faces are beyond him. He has to push against his limits to win. Superman on the other hand is made such that he has no limits. He has to be the best guy in the room. Let Flash win but not by a huge margin. Or better keep it ambiguous. What happens when you get the answer? You stop asking questions. And what is the fun in that?

giving Flash the title of fastest man alive would be defeted if Superman was faster than him.
-
Was post crisis Superman still fast enough to travel through time?
-
No they took Superman’s speed and ability to time travel... I definitely think Superman has claim to be most “Super” in the room so sometimes, rarely, he can get the best of Flash. Fastest Man meet Superman. The point is, it should be a challenge.
