Remember Aaron and Brevoort talking about rebirth after the phoenix storyline, So heroes reborn might be the status quo after the Phoenix current storyline
Fly high fantastic four and avengers! in the wings of an angel!

Why would they do this?[/QUOTE]
I mean, let's keep it 100% the comic industry has repeatedly done these "the universe resets/jumps ahead for _____ amount of time" settings to tell new stories. Are we forgetting 6 years ago where all the books essentially ended to make room for AU styled Secret Wars stories. Age of X-Man over in the X-Books a couple of years ago.
Only difference here is Marvel opting to recycle an old branding.

I feel like they've learned their lesson to stop doing company-wide relaunches but I can see this becoming a line-to-line thing after the successful "soft-reset" for the X-Books.
Al Ewing is bringing back the Olympian Gods in GotG??? I thought they already did that? Ok, I guess.
As for Heroes Reborn, I think it's safe to say that Marvel is going to treat some of these events as a recurring deal. Every generation or two will probably have one. Let's face it, it's usually the best way to get people to spend more money than they otherwise would have just buying their normal pull list each month. I'm not expecting any lasting effect of this event, though. In fact, I'd be shocked if it wasn't more of the same.
I never read the original Heroes Reborn, so how good or bad was the original line of books?

Much like the OG Clone Saga it's very much another example of the Marketing department steering the wheel.

Well i do like some of the Clone Saga (mainly some parts of 94 and a lot of 96, 95 was atrocious and probably the worst year for Spider-Man comics) so maybe this one has some good things too lol.
