Was tempted to get cause of the Liam Sharp cover made me think he was doing the art for the issue.
Its actually not terrible. I mean yea its tide to METAL but it was a nice start to a story. The artwork is great too, Xermanico does nice linework and I've been a fan of his since I first saw him on GWW's WW.

I've seen it's got good reviews but I just can't really get into tie-ins, though then again I can't really get into most events. Haven't read anything of Metal after the first issue.

I think OG Diana is actually using the swatches from the old DC Comics style guide, which is pretty neat if true.

I wouldn't mind Diana keeping the blue highlights after death metal

Reminds me of an Adam Hughes cover.

I can't say I'm a fan of them.

Also front and center on the cover to #6 with Donna in the crowd:

Thought Donna was Zatanna for a second.

I like both the ombre and highlights, but I want the ombre to remain a Death Metal thing just for this (like the crown) whereas giving her blue highlights instead of grey such as on the right, I'm pretty cool with.

Why do they want Diana to be Red Sonja so bad? Her weapon's the goddamn lasso of truth. The swords and chainsaws have got to go, man. This shit is depressing.

This event looks and reads like something from the 90's.

In fairness, Sonja doesn't use a chainsaw either. Honestly, it's how much Diana behaves that I'm worried about compared to what weapon she uses.

Not a fan of the look or the whole feel of death metal!! Don't get the whole darkness thing! Oh!! I think WW and the Supermen look awful!!

I only read the first issue and she was mostly fine. It wasn’t great but nothing particularly egregious as far as most JL/non-WW writers go.

Fairly certain at this point Capullo’s designs for this series are more for his buddy McFarlane to make toys of. :p

So has anyone been following this?
We all kind of saw months ago that despite Snyder's insistence this event was absolutely not Wonder Woman's story at all. But has she been doing anything of relevance?
Near as I can tell, all Diana's done so far is "kill" the BWL (which only made him stronger), fought Perpetua (completely off panel & nothing accomplished), and given some pep talks.
I've tried looking at the spoilers, but it's just incoherent drivel and always with the same insufferable refrain: "The Batman Who Laughs had a plan for that, too."
So, yeah...anyone feeling Wonder Woman's role in this nonsense?
