Recently saw the official trailer for The Mandalorian....amazing! This looks truly incredible. Just based on the trailer, I'm looking forward to this show more than the ST films:
- Amazing new ships.
- Nice to see IG-88 (or an IG-88-like robot) in action for the first time - the scene with him in the fight with the stormtroopers was a fanboy's dream ;)
-Interesting brief scene with the Ugnaught riding on top of a creature.
-The creature in carbonite resembles one of the aliens in the ANH cantina, i.e. the rat-like creature.
-Cool to see Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed in the Rocky films; Predator 1) in the show.
-The armor that the Mandalorian?! is wearing resembles Jango Fett's more than Boba Fett's, but at the same time it's got it's own vibe going on - interesting.
-It's odd to see Werner Herzog (well-known German film director) in here; how bizarre. I'm actually a big fan of Herzog's films, but many of them are truly avant-garde & in many cases twisted & truly $#$%#-up (in a good way). So, he is the last person I'd expect to see in a live-action SW TV series - LOL.
Three months is not that long to wait for this - very cool
This is a great time to be a SW fan. This amazing live-action show (the first ongoing live action SW TV show ever) in November, and then the new movie coming out in December - which will feature the Emperor (hopefully).

I think this is the Star Wars series I have been waiting for. The trailer looks so epic.

I'm building high hopes for this series at a huge SW fan. I love Happy Hogan :o so I know he's going to make this show good.
I was beyond disappointed and very focus about the 7th and 8th movies so I really need some hope for Star Wars besides the Rogue One movie.

It bears some resemblance to the Boba Fett look seen in the Holiday special and Droids. The more pointed visor, the slight blue/silverish look to the helmet....and of course the weapon is the same.
I'm beginning to wonder perhaps if we'll see the Samuraiesque Mandalorian armor seen briefly in SOLO somewhere.

Is it just me or does the Trandoshan on the left look a bit more "human" then what we've seen of the species? Kind of reminds me of Doctor Who, which altered the Silurians from their more inhuman look from the classic series to basically just scaly humans.

It's likely a Trandoshan but the Saurin are similar enough to be mistaken for them (Bossk used costume parts from them) to explain why these guys look so different. Saurin haven't really been seen since ANH so this may be the modern take on them.

The coloring looks more like the coloring from crocodileman from the cantina scene, but again certainly more humanized than that character if they are meant to be the same so it's a fairly big change either way...but as long as the story is good I imagine I won't care.
