lol, Pine played that scene perfectly.
If/When the next live-action media adaptation of Wonder Woman is released, the actor who will play Steve is gonna have to big shoes to fill thanks to Pine. :p

Pine is to Steve what RDJ is to Iron Man. He absolutely crushed every scene.
I admit to being a sucker for super-powered beings like Diana and Clark dating regular humans.
Regular humans not to be confused with "average" since I think Steve and Lois should be -

Yeah, same here. Linda and Wally is another good example.
It says a helluva lot when the strength of their character is enough to interest Superman, Wonder Woman and the like.
Every time I hear fans try and impart the belief that non-powered people like Lois aren't "worthy" for those in Clark's weight class, I'm reminded more and more how people can't get over his being an alien, missing all that humanity in him, and not realizing what that says about them. Same goes for Diana and her being a demigod. It's pretty shallow, to be polite.

Pines did sign a multi movie contract. So maybe he will come back as Steve.

The only way I see Pine playing Steve again is in a voice acting gig.

Or a manifestation put on by Doctor Psycho... But then, that's what they should have done to bring him back in 1984 anyway.

If Circe is the villain, I could see them doing something like a magical illusion during some sort "join me and we can rule together" scene.

Or he appears as a pig.

I mean Steve is known for returning some how. But overall I do wonder if he will voice Steve in DV movies. They got Constantine's actor to VA him. I'm curious if Steve were to ever get his own comic series. Who would be Steve's archenemy and

The only thing I'd imagine Pine would voice Steve for would be if it were some theatrical animated thing (so completely separate from the current animated projects). It seems pretty rare for live-action actors to then go into the animated stuff. The only ones I recall doing it were Matt Ryan for Constantine and the surviving Batman '66 cast members doing the animated movies.

How can Dc fix Steve they make him boring modern day. While Golden age they shown him while a damsel. He wasn't clingy to Diana and has been able to do many things without Diana before being caught.

TBF, the problem with Steve (and to an extent Etta) are static characters. They are their to represent Marston's ideals; Steve being the male love interest who is not intimidated by Diana and to show that she can fall in love with someone but still remain strong and Etta is meant to represent mortal women who are inspired by Diana. You can't really give them story arcs. What kind of story arc can you do with Steve? How do you change him without writing him out at some point? I guess with Etta you can have her become more confident and become a warrior like Diana but then she just ends up occupying the same side kick becomes hero role that characters like Cisco in the Flash show inhabit.
Hence why I don't think WW should have one definite love interest and why I think Julia Kapatelis, Cassie Sandsmark, Artemis, Donna Troy and Helena Sandsmark are better supporting characters since they have more potential as characters and could lead to newer and more interesting story arcs.
