rather new shop out of germany specialised on omnibus, epics & such:
www.waltscomicshop.com
shipping to eu is 9,90, packaging was very good. selection is not gigantic, but growing. anyone else has tried them?
regarding cheap-comics, they stock so many thousand comics (of which mostly don't move very fast), how could they if they don't make profits on the "hot" books they have? i have found there many books not available anywhere else for good prices.
books etc prices are unbeatable, packaging is fine (for a "non-comics-seller") but their stock is very limited and it's quite frustrating to order and then get your book (or not) many weeks later.

Yeah those are two points of big frustration for me. I placed an order with them on December 1st that still has hasn't been shipped - and when placing my order, there were several rather new books that I really wanted but couldn't get because of their extremely limited stock.

I placed an order of 4 books on the 1st as well and they were shipped after 5-6 days. Will probably recieve them next week.

I've reached the point where I'm considering options for placing a really big order at a US comic book store (like instocktrades) and simply eat up the shipping, customs and VAT fees. Anyone from Europe have experience with that?
-
I have recently been using more comic book stores here in the UK (most have free UK shipping, not sure about shipments to the EU):

Also A Place in Space but their website is curently down.
These are especially good to find stuff that is OOS elsewhere.

That limited stock problem has started this year. Maybe they are carefull with stocking because of the Brexit?

My latest order from IST was for 2 Omnis and The total price for it was the same as if I would have gotten them from BookDepository. The order before that though I did not have to pay any custom or anything so it was slightly cheaper than BD for example.
I live in Sweden.
That's not Really a big order though.

Today I recieved my Final Crisis Omnibus from Booksetc. The packaging was basically a small card board box inside a bigger box and no padding at all. The book was flawless though. Pure luck I guess.

I received my Amazing Spider-man By J. Michael Straczynski Omnibus Vol. 2 from Booksetc. today. The packaging was fine, packaged in a box within another box.
The weird thing is, though, that it's the only one of 28 books I purchased on December 1st that I have now received - and I haven't ever been sent a dispatch notice for anything. Yet when I check my purchase history on their site, all but 1 of the books are listed as "shipped".

Yeah I only got a dispatch notice for the last one of my books that they shipped away. But this one got shipped the same Day as two other books. I'm guessing they have different locations at which they ship the books from?

Yeah they must have. The problem for me when they ship from different locations is that they don't always use tracking numbers when doing multiple shipments in one order. I've lost a one comic they (supposedly) shipped this way already.
If it weren't for their absolutely unbeatable prices, their lack of reliability and stock would have turned me elsewhere already.

Ah, I see.
Yeah on some books the prices are comparable to places like IST but without the crazy shipping cost.

I ordered 3 books from booksetc on Nov 27th, one came bubble wrap without air and was moving in box, one has info SHIPPED and one EXPORTED. On one that came I had tracking number, on that SHIPPED I have no tracing number. It is weird, all is Marvel books, last time I order 3 Marvel books all came in one box.
