Far Cry 6

Giancarlo's the villain (Which is an interesting connection to 3, which had Michael Mando, his BCS co-star, as Vaas). Seems to be a sort of exotic setting again (FC5 and New Dawn took place in rural Montana, although it was still very picturesque). Not sure if it'll still follow the series's loose continuity (Hurk and a few other characters have appeared in multiple games) considering Far Cry 5's ending and New Dawn.

they dropped a cinematic at ubisoft's stream event yesterday

Curious if the son will be the main character, or if it'll be another anonymous person like 5 and New Dawn.
Also seems like with FC5 this could court some controversy.

I also thought the son would be the main character, but from what I heard the main character would be instead a guerilla fighter if im not mistaken....

If so perhaps an older version of the son is perhaps one of the main lieutenants the games always seem to have.

there is a theory that the kid may somehow be Vaas, there is a resemblence, they even share a scar in the eye brows.
-
yes, I heard that the protagonist going to be a leader of the revolution movement and that the name would be Dani or something like that. And you'll be able to choose whether they'll be male or female - hence the name, I guess. I like that Ubisoft are coming back to the actual active protagonist in Far Cry. Deputy was cool, but it would be so much cooler if they talked. IMHO, Ajay was super lame as a character but he at least felt 'alive'.

Any indication the character has a sister? Vass's sister was sort of the leader of the rebellion against him. Also, not sure if the setting could be an earlier (1990s?) version of the Rook islands.
Still, a Far Cry prequel would help deal with still keeping Far Cry 5's ending intact, and weren't there rumors about Vaas returning?

I wonder what type of ending this game will have compared to the other games in the series

Good for Ubisoft, the trailer that The Gold Stream has put is spectacular.

I think the most possible endings would be whether you will succeed in the revolution or not. But I heard that somehow the actions/decisions of the protagonist will be connected to the son of El Presidente - maybe the ending will include whether the son will become the dictator like it's father depending on our relationships with him? That would be interesting story to pursue.

So there's a new VR game that seems to be set in the same setting as 3 (except with current gen graphics) with Vaas. So that's probably where the rumors about Vaas's return/Michael Mando's hints might have come from.
Apparently is only going to be at "Cyberarcades".

UBISOFT has sent a message out to fans which seems to indicate a delay.

Game is out tomorrow so I'm bumping this.
Reportedly recurring characters Hurk will not be in the game or Agent Willis (Willis, given the plot and setting, would probably make a lot of sense). Wonder if this is sort of a continuity reboot in that respect, especially given the state of the World in 5 and New Dawn. Then again I'm not sure how much of a stickler FC is to continuity.
