There was some news on [B]The Nevers[/B] back in November.
HBO and Joss Whedon have parted ways on the production (which will continue without him).
In [URL="https://www.cbr.com/joss-whedon-departs-hbo-the-nevers/"]the CBR article Whedon cites exhaustion[/URL] and the extra challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Worth noting how [URL="https://ew.com/tv/joss-whedon-exits-the-nevers-hbo/"]Entertainment Weekly has a slightly different take[/URL], noting how the departure aligned with allegations of abusive behavior by Whedon on the set of Justice League (Whedon & Warner Bros. dispute some of those claims).

He became person non grata in the film industry so him becoming a full time novelist/comic book writer feels like the best option.
