idea of Beyond arc: Great
execution of Beyond arc: mediocre
end of Beyond arc: awful
everything since Beyond: utter dog s**t
My thoughts exactly! It's truly a bummer because I usually like Wells' stories. If nothing else, I hope he's enjoying his time on the book and that there are enough people liking it.
I would rather this franchise saw new writers, and not the same people from 15 years ago doing the same things they did 15 years ago.
I'm kinda reaching the point where I think fans need to stop "Running the Asylum" with big franchises like this; seems like most of them have an utter lack of self-control in terms of how they approach the material and bring their baggage in with them (and I'd count myself in that, if I was ever to try and become a comics writer).
Worse then Slott. Best comparison Slott’s ASM versus Wells ASM 900
Okay. Never thought that Slott was a very strong writer in general (even discounting his obsession with the "Marvel method"), so we taking as in "bad craftsmanship," "does not understand the source material," or both?

My real name is Paul so I chuckled seeing a Paul with MJ.

This. Slott has some good moments with the bad, hate Silk. All of Wells run has sucked. TASM #900 is the worst anniversary issue I've read of any comic. Spider-Man and his fans deserve better for Spidey's 60th Birthday.

My real name is Paul too. I guess she’s having a threesome.

So which one of you is Paul Levesque?
Can I have an autograph?

Hey fellow Paul.

I want to change my answer to it's one of the worst ASM runs. This is not a comic...it's kindling.

It does seem to be getting worse (something I doubted was possible back in the summer), IMHO. :(

I knew something was wrong when I saw the cover for #93, where Peter and Ben were fighting mid-air but what truly confirmed it for me was the cover of #2. Also, I have a question about the debt collector. Is Paul his boss?

I take it you didn't like the last issue?

I mean...if I had to say anything good about it it was that I like the way Ben and Janine look together as Chasm and Hallow's Eve but that's about it.

That's more on Gleason and ed McGuiness than Wells

Yeah, I know. Wells' writing is trash, I am not going to credit him for the artwork.

It's good. I wasn't so hot on Beyond at first but the Chasm of it all made me appreciate it more in hindsight.
The art isn't often to my taste, JRJr isn't my thing. But Zeb Wells is one of Marvel's best writers.
