Much like Department H/the Weapon X project, symbiotes have become a water well that is siphoned from too many times. But hey, it sells, especially with hardcore symbiote-stans, so...
I'm surprised there hasn't been a symbiote adversary to the Avengers 1,000,000 BC group yet... but hey, the year is still early.. .
That would be an interesting twist, considering how long Knull has apparently been around. Plenty of time for him or his offspring to have visited Earth in the 1,000,000 BC era and taken on the first Avengers.
Too many Hulks, too man Spiders, too many symbiotes, too many Ironpeople, etc. Personally, I’m fine with them being around. The same complaint of there being too many ‘x’ does get tiresome though especially when DC seems to be able to get away with it. It’s just the nature of comics.
Hmm, I think a lot of the issue people have with the multiple Hulks, Spider-People, symbiotes, Iron People, etc. is what TV Tropes describes as "uniqueness decay," or in shorter words --- it feels less "special" when there's more than one (or maybe two) of them.

I'm ok with them being around because getting rid of them would cause more problems than it'd solve.

More symbiote characters could be justified if most of them weren't lame characters with lamer designs.
-
Are there really too many? The majority of them never show up unless it's a symbiote related event and Marvel already has a mandate against there being too many symbiotes and too many heroic symbiotes.
-
Not really. I mean unless I'm forgetting, there's Venom, Carnage in some form, Scream and....that's it currently. Unless they bring Flash. Do we count Ghost Spider as a symbiote?

When are we gonna get Payback content.

Technically, yes.

I haven't seen a Symbiote i liked since OG Carnage.... and he was best used as a 'one and done' mega evil. THey could wipe all the others and I wouldn't blink an eye.
-
I felt like the 90's and the 2000's had a lot of symbiote porn, but ever since then I feel the hype has died down.
-
There should only be one symbiote: Venom....
-
Venom, Carnage, and maybe Toxin are the only ones I kinda like. Toxin was kinda popular when he came out in the 2000s, but now it seems like he's an unknown.

I felt this way after reading ASM #361.

Well there are a lot of characters I don’t care about and I wouldn’t blink an eye if they disappear, included the one in your avatar, doesn’t mean that I think it’s a good idea just because I don’t like them or they are indifferent to me.
-
They are a species so it only makes sense that after one get to Hearth other could follow.

A very good point you raise. As much as we all have our pet peeves, a big part of maturity and adulthood is realizing the world --- even a fictional world like the Marvel Universe --- doesn't revolve around us alone or exist solely to cater to our desires and needs.
