These actually look pretty fun.
Sort of reminds me of when DC and Marvel had their event, which ended up mixing the characters.
I wonder if by the end of this event, these guys will continue to exist in some sort of alternate reality or whatever.
That was my first thought. Marvel doing their own in house version of Amalgam.
I hope not all the characters are fusions of 2 male or 2 female characters...
Interesting concepts/drawing
I'd buy five of those Wakandan Ghost Riders.
Also, I sorta hope some of these ideas make it to statue level under a "What If: Warped" banner or something.
Those last couple ones are pretty cool, actually. It's like Amalgam characters but just from within the Marvel U. I think Iron Hammer kind of looks more like Ironheart than Tony's armor though (peep the triangle light on the helmet).
If Al Ewing really is working on this, I'd be a little bit miffed because there are a few projects I'd love for him to take on based on his older work, though I suppose I can't complain too much. Since he's started at Marvel, Ewing has consistently been one of the best event tie-in writers, so Marvel might as well have him be in charge of an event.
Yeah I'm torn too.. On the one hand, I desperately want Ultimates vol 3. On the other, Ewing is one of my favorites so if he has a project he's interested in, I say let him have at it. I'll buy it and will almost certainly like it. This is the man who made Rocket Raccoon and Contest of Champions into interesting books, after all.
I'm starting to wonder whether maybe this will incorporate the new fusion characters that Marvel has been putting out like Weapon H and Cosmic Ghost Rider.

Yeah, same. Although Gerry Duggan and Ben Blacker also tweeted out teasers so it's probably not just Ewing. Maybe it's a special series of fifth-week one-shots.
Well, looks like someone at Marvel has been watching Yu-Gi-Oh! re-runs, fusion monsters are an old-school creature type:
That's definitely Moon Knight and the other one must be Tony Stark.
They're merged, so I don't think it's fully one or the other. It's a combo of Moon Knight and Spider-Man and a combo of Iron Man and Thor. (and, later, a combo of Black Panther and Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch and Laura Kinney, Doctor Strange and Captain America) they got mushed together into one body somehow.
and yeah, I dunno what this is, but I like Al Ewing, so...
oh, and that Ghost Panther one is my favorite, that is BADASS.

Sounds like somebody isn't familiar with Amalgam comics. Which, coincidentally enough, appeared the same year the Yugioh manga started.

Is Weapon Hex the Amalgam of Scarlet Witch and X-23 or Scarlet Witch and the original Wolverine?

she's got 2 claws, so i presume Laura.
Though I do think it would be interesting to have some amalgams of male and female characters.

Amalgam could well be a source of inspiration here, except without any DC licenses apparently. Although, knowing modern Marvel, it's probably more likely they're borrowing an idea from manga and anime then reading their own back catalogue.
Honestly I got a bit more Metal theme from the Moon Knight one.
CB Cebulski & Al Ewing just posted some new designs by Humberto Ramos on some old characters with the hash tag: #WhoGetsWarped?

Getting flashbacks of Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. *Eye twitching*
