I smell some grifting here from Ms. Boobert!
32-year-old Michigan state Rep. Steve Marino (R) now has to be chaperoned at work after telling a fellow lawmaker he used to date that he was out to “destroy” her, prompting her to get a protective order.
In addition to telling House sergeants when he comes to the Capitol or House building, Marino also has to be escorted whenever he’s on the House floor or on the way to his office, Gideon D’Assandro, a spokesperson for House Speaker Jason Wentworth (R), told MLive.com.
Oh, and Marino also needs to keep himself at his desk, in the House Republican caucus room or the House floor.

Honestly, you don't even need an "If..."
A guy who only won because he was an unpopular person running against an even more unpopular person went up against someone who had been part of a reasonably popular administration.
He even won by about the same EC margin as Trump.
No conspiracy.
A guy spent his entire Presidency picking fights banking on that he could pull off an incredibly singular win a second time.
Throw in that he did a lousy job on a pandemic?
Perfectly reasonable scenario where that hands almost anyone running against him the win. Never mind Biden.
Anyone capable of accepting that logic wouldn't be arguing that there was fraud in the first place.

After months of delays and blistering criticism, a review of the 2020 election in Arizona’s largest county, ordered up and financed by Republicans, has failed to show that former President Donald J. Trump was cheated of victory, according to draft versions of the report.
In fact, the draft report from the company Cyber Ninjas found just the opposite: It tallied 99 additional votes for President Biden and 261 fewer votes for Mr. Trump in Maricopa County, the fast-growing region that includes Phoenix.
No surprises here at all.
Trump spent an inordinate amount of time denigrating a popular senator from that state.
What happened was the expected outcome.

How do you stay in office after that?

By having an 'R' after your name.

I've never been big on forum awards, but if there was an award for "Funniest Post" I think this would seriously be a strong contender especially when read in the wry voice of Jeffery Wright.

Can somebody explain to me why Texas is reviewing/auditing the votes in their four largest counties after the Orange Idol demanded they do so? It's friggin' Texas. What's to be gained by proving that Trump potentially carried a state he won by slightly more votes? Or by slightly less votes, if the Arizona audit results are anything to go by.

There four largest counties are where the Democratic votes are. They are looking for any anomaly so they can limit the voting and impact of Democratic votes in the next election. Abbott is up for election next year. They will suppress the vote more than they already are.

I didn't think it was possible to crack down on the Democratic voting there anymore than they already have. Other than outright banning Democratic candidates from appearing on the ballot. The gradual blue creep that state has been experiencing for a while now must have them spooked since they've been going all out with insane far-right policies this season.

Well, there's your fraud @Xheight. Anyone involved in the big lie should be held responsible for misleading the republican party.

My guess is they will find a way to close more polling spots in those counties, longer lines lead to less voters. Also, absentee ballots will be all but banned in those places, with no drop off points. Then there is removing Democratic voters from the rolls. Kemp showed the way to win this way in Georgia.
Texas 2022 will be as close to a Putinesque election as we have seen in this country.

Dallas, Tarrant & Harris went to Biden. The other went to Trump.
Dallas, Tarrant and Harris-the top 3 places with votes. Collin was 6th. The top 5 went to Biden.
Trump lost Tarrant by 2K votes.
Biden lost Collin by 11K.
14 counties Trump won by 90% or higher-mainly SMALLER ones. 20+ were 80% and up.
Biden's highest? 71%.
6 out of 8 counties that had LESS than 50% were won by Biden.
Highest voter turn out for counties won by Biden 74% Trump 80%
3 out the top 12 most populated counties are Republican. If all of them went blue-Democrats still could not win Texas. Too many smaller counties.
