Yeah, some good old classic fights, with even Avengers 262 being considered in that group now! Interesting, in the next 1-2 issues of that Avengers Arc, which brings Jean Grey back, Namor states in his thoughts that while he is held motionless (by unknown Jean Grey's TK), Hercules is managing to plod forward against it.

Was that Roger Stern? It shouldn't have been so, if I remember well this was under water and Namor has bested Hulk under water who definitely is stronger than Hercules.

Yes, I believe it was. It was underwater and besides Namor getting a boost, it is detremental to air-breathers and hampers movement. So, Namor should have fared better.
I look at it similarly to how I do for Jean Grey: it took a while for them both to come to their peak powers, but now they have arrived! Beware!! Lol. :-)

November solicitations are up and our boy Namor is front and center in that month's Invaders:
With the world about to undergo its biggest disaster ever, CAPTAIN AMERICA and NAMOR are nowhere to be found! But on a tiny island in the ocean, two men are having a long overdue conversation.

Hoping Namor gets its overdue shave and a haircut courtesy of Steve Rogers.

LOL! I was thinking something similar. "Namor, just rip those rags off!"
I'm also getting a real Hell In the Pacific vibe off of this cover.

So, which Namor series do you guys think was the best?:
Sub-Mariner Comics (1941)
Sub-Mariner (1968)
Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner (1984)
Saga of the Sub-Mariner (1988)
Namor the Sub-Mariner (1990)
Namor (2003)
Sub-Mariner Vol 2 (2007)
Sub-Mariner: The Depths (2008)
Namor: The First Mutant (2010)

I do like Namor with the long hair as shown and some stubble. He is not a "bearded" guy, but some dark stubble once in a while is nice. I like that cover.

It depends on what you mean by best. For example, Sub-Mariner the Depths is a pretty amazing story, but it barely has Namor in it. Plus, it's obviously an Alt-Namor. I also consider Subby's Golden Age and the Tsunami Namor (2003) to be Alt-Namor runs, and not technically canon. Plus, I think the Atlas era part of the Subby run somewhat separate, as there are years between 32 and 33, and it is far more polished.
My favorite run is the Silver Age run, from 1968.

IDK. I always thought once you have John Buscema doing the artwork, the comic would be considered an automatic classic.
