I will be very upset if they remove Cable's mutant powers of TK. But honestly yoga, do you really think they'd do that? Come on. He's going to still be a mutant. He will have his powers.
The TechnoOrganic virus as explanation for him being "half machine" I can possibly see them rewriting but I also think they will indeed include that as well.
Obviously the thing they are by far least likely to touch upon or go into depth about is his parentage situation. But... I think they just might do that too.
With Deadpool they can really embrace the silly contrived nature of Cable's backstory full force if they want to and make it work. But that said, when Cable was first introduced in the comics, he almost never used his telepathy or telekinesis; for quite some time the New Mutants/X-Forcers didn't even know if he was a mutant! He really just used guns/tech 99% of the time. I'm not saying they should ignore his powers, but the trailer bullet block could easily be technological, and that wouldn't be wrong either!
What's the point of a mutant showing up in a mutantmovie without a display of that mutants power? Has that happened yet?
I can't say for sure (I feel like there's some minor one, but that's besides the point), but we've also never had Cable introduced before who was someone introduced for quite some time without powers.

Jubilee in all 3 of the films she appeared in (don't remember if she had a cameo in The Last Stand as well).

Fair point although I don't think we are considering Cable's role in this film on par with any of Jubilee's role even in XM:A. And I *think* in the online video like promo for XM:A she did use her powers.

It was a deleted scene in X2 actually.

In the deleted mall scene in XM:A, she uses her powers on an arcade machine for Jean and Scott - that entire sequence is great as well :(

OMG
Sploosh!!
My 4 year old niece just watched Toy story 2 with my sister the other day. My sister was watching the new trailer, and my niece thought it was a sequel with sheriff Deadpool and wanted to see the movie. LOL
The people working on the marketing for this movie had seriously better get a raise.

Further proof that Deadpool can enrich any and all pop culture references. It might as well be one of his mutant powers. :o
