Why? What's wrong with her?

Frigga only comes across that way because of writing Odin as a total drunken abusive misogynist ass-hat.

I'm kind of over Thor's parents to be honest :p.

true but she was still shoe horned to our faces since Fraction.
like, they took some of Odin's qualities and gave it to her.
-
More Frigga/Freya is fine by me, just a shame Odin got crapped on in order to develop her.
Anyway...

We don't know as yet whether Chris Hemsworth is coming back in the title role, but it seems likely.

which family member is he gonna get next???
Phoenix is his second mother somehow???

Thor: That would explain this craw that I've always wondered about.
Also, the tail feathers.
Aaron: No Birds are Worthy! *tries to steal hammer*

I'm kinda mixed on this.
Like, I love getting more Thor in the movies but I'm not crazy about Waititi's take on him and the Asgardian mythos. He's a good visuals guy but too many jokes and too much of a comedic Thor for my tastes. Probably the most direct moment where I thought I was watching Hercules over Thor.
But that's what Hemsworth feels more comfortable with, and Ragnarok was the most successful Thor movie, so it's not unsurprising.
Ah well, I guess I'm morbidly curious to see what they do with it. Maybe we'll finally get Balder (although I don't know if I want to see Waititi handle Balder).

With Waititi's Thor at least we get a certain amount of awesomeness to balance out the slapstick - or at least in T:R we did. It's not perfect, but at this point I'll take that Thor over anything Aaron's given us in the last couple of years.

Well, yeah, Waititi's Thor actually accomplishes stuff on a consistent basis and is an effective hero. That much I can appreciate :p.

From another part of these boards but undisputedly relevant here:
“I have some general philosophies on what kind of work you should do at Marvel, that I try and adhere to. I think the stories should be big,” Hickman says. “Any time you can mine your continuity and the existing continuity of the company in a way that evokes a response from audience and not confusion, that’s powerful, and you’re crazy not to utilize it when you’re writing these books. The cardinal rule beyond that is at the end of the day, after you’ve torn up the playroom and scattered all the toys, you put everything all back on the shelf. Don’t be an a—hole and leave a mess.”
Why Hickman is great.....and someone else......is NOT.
Bring Back Our REAL THOR!!!
