I'm super glad we at least seem to be getting a proper finale for Jessica. I know a couple of the Net Flicks shows sort of kept us hanging.

2 weeks!
Cuts are too fast who's the bad guy?
Can't wait. Its my favorite of the Netflix shows just above Daredevil.
Hopefully I don't need to know what happened in Luke Cage season 2 though since I only made it 7 episodes before quitting out of sheer boredom. Amazing to me how a character so awesome in JJ season 1 and Defenders has such a bad show of his own.

Disagree but to each thyre own. JJ season 2 is the only show I quit and had to come back to a month later. Got through Ironfist faster. I'll take bushmaster over Jessica's mom anyday

Still haven't finished the season finale of JJ s2, god that whole season was such a disappointment to slog through. Will give season three a couple eps but not gonna push myself if it sucks.

The fourth cut was of Jessica running down the hall.

Seeing the guy unfortunately doesn't really help in figuring out who it is.
Outside of Purple Man Jessica has no rogues, since she was never really a super hero in her book per say. So that guy could be anyone. Presumably it's some street level villain they're just co-opting to tell a Jessica Jones story, unless it's a brand new character.

"When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both."
That's the synopsis from Netflix. "Physically spry, extremely intelligent and meticulous. Driven by a pathological need to feel superior." Are the only other things we know officially.
Not one, but 2 trailers.

Trailer 2:

Villain is Gregory Salinger AKA Foolkiller (the second one).
Also, Hellcat costume was shown in the BTS trailer, on a bed, who knows if it's an Easter Egg or going to be used?
Looks really dark...ugh...
Fool Killer is an inspired choice to be a villain for Jessica. Hope this season suck like the last.
After watching JJ does anyone get weirded out when seeing Krystin Ritter smiling or being goofy in interviews or other shows? Its just weird now after how great she is at being JJ.

No but Tennant does that for me now when I watch Doctor Who or anything with him now after watching his amazing Purple Man.
"I'm here to save you!" No you're not, you're here to make people eat their hair while you rape their mom.

Tennant especailly for me, because he uses the same accent with Purple Man as he does Dr. Who.
And Dr. Who, despite being a hero always had sort of a dark side anyways so it's less of a stretch.
Because of David Tennant I cannot say "Jessica Jones" without saying "Jessica!" like him every time.
IMHO ... Purple Man is Tennant's best work. So far.
are there any references to Jessica having attended the same high school as Peter Parker? (was she a year behind?)
better than season 2 which isn't saying anything
Also we need to talk about Malcom and his romantic choices and overall decisions in this series
I didn't hate season 2 but it was a family drama set in a superhero show with no traditional villain.
This season was better though IMO not as good as season 1 but solid although like all Marvel Netflix shows could had benefited from trimming a few episodes.
One of the problems with this series is the villains/antagonists took a big dive after season 1.

It's tough to top Purple Man.
It's doubly tough for Jessica because she really has no rogues outside of Killgrave, so you end up having to either make up characters or use characters she has no history with. So Jessica by far probably had the toughest time coming up with material for sequals. There's no roadmap to even begin to follow.
One thing I did find annoying the doing an episode from Jessica's POV and then doing an episode on the same events but now from Trish's POV a lot of that felt like padding and in most stories would had just been handled with a montage or short flashback.

In general I think all the Net Flix shows except Defenders felt a little padded. Some were more guilty of this than others (JJ is probably the worst of the bunch), but I think almost across the board every show probably could have been streamlined a bit.

true.
I'm so annoyed that I don't get to see Luke Cage season 3 after this. More importantly, this show actually set up the raft and now we don't get to see the prison break. UGH!

Yeah, I wish we got more closure for a lot of these characters. One last Defenders just to give everyone a good bye would have bern nice. Maybe a few years from now marvel will give it a go.

Agreed. It is better than the last season which to me was so bad it warranted series cancellation alone. On episode 6 atm, Trish isn't as annoying and show killing as she was last season but shes so desperate to be a hero its off-putting still. Malcom has grown in 3 series from the junkie neighbor so I give him credit for that.
This far in as far as villains' go I mean as others have mentioned her rogues gallery is arguably done after season 1. So it can either be a hinderance, or a great opportunity for a writer to create a wonderful foil for her. Or elevate a nobody in comics to the level appropriate to be her tv nemesis. So far no one has stepped up and really delivered there for JJ.
Just binged the whole season in 1 day. So I obviously really liked it. I just find Jessica herself to be so compelling a character. The subplots didn't bother me so much this season compared to previous seasons, and I think Trish's arc basically went the only way it could.
In my headcannon this takes place before the Thanos snap, and after the snap Jessica and Luke get together like in the comics.

The Trish POV episodes didn't feel like padding to me. They filled in blanks and where good about skipping the scenes we already seen from the previous episode.

ONe of the biggest disappointments for me about the Net Flix shows being cancelled is that we never get a chance to see Luke and Jessica get together. Still, this season does give a bit of HOPE for them, so maybe down the line marvel can revisit them.
I really liked Malcolm this season. I like his character development the most. I think the character could carry his own series.
I liked this season a LOT more than last season. This season just seemed a lot tighter and the various characters all were part of the main story, where last season it seemed they were mostly doing their own thing and converging at key points.
One complaint is that the basic story is too similar to last season, crazy powered mom, crazy powered sister. I did feel a lot more sympathy for Trish though - Jess's mom was just bonkers and that was clear. That was more one-note vs. Trish's arc which was heart-breaking. But Trish ultimately made her own bed.
Foolkiller was great here, though a little too on the nose at points as an Incel/disgruntled misogynist matephor. (although maybe not even a metaphor)
Great acting all around as well, top-to-bottom. A little sad we didn't see Netflix regulars like Mahoney or Turk. Always great to see Luke and the Rand references were cool.
As "noir" as this series has been, it was great to see Jessica become a real hero. Also great that they were actually allowed to say "Captain America" this time rather than just make vague allusions to the other heroes.
Also, damn Carrie-Ann Moss always looks fantastic in black. :)
So far this season isn't a terrible choir like season 2. That's good at least.

I never got that impression with Fool killer. All his victims were men, never blame his problems on women and was generally unpleasant to everyone.

Good point, but Incels also seem to have hate for good looking guys who "get to" have the girls due to being more fortunate in the genetic lottery. I guess it was two things - that chef guy saying he thought that Salinger hadn't ever been kissed - at all and when he started getting into it with Jessica and Eric being fortunate it just sparked some familiar attitudes I had seen. Totally my perception.
I was really enjoying this up until the whole "Trish is evil now" such a tired trope. I lost interest. But gotta say Kristen Ritter really proved herself as an actress with this series. She didn't have the best material but really did her thing. Great camerawork too.

If you followed Trish development in this series that was where she was headed. The possibility for her to be redeemed is there. She realized how badly she screwed at the end.
