I've contacted my shop and asked them how they want to handle it, mine have luckily said they'll hold my pull for a few months coz they know I'm good for it
But I'm not going in nor getting any delivery
Mostly because I have a vulnerable household
But I'm lucky like that my shop understands that

The worst just happened. No shipments to Diamond's warehouses.

Which means this week's comics are the last for a while unless publishers go digital first - they're already available for sale at the shops.

I wonder if the lack of physical books and open comic shops will lead to a rise in piracy.

Meanwhile shonen Jump and the manga industry are laughing at people struggling to handle problems they solved decades ago..

Does the Diamond news affect DCBS? Do they get their comics from Diamond?

Yes indeed.

In everywher if a store wants comics you go through diamond. Manga has jump selling directly to consumers and stores. They cut out the middle man and it kept prices down.
Does the Diamond news affect DCBS? Do they get their comics from Diamond?
It affects EVERYONE. Diamond has a monopoly. No Diamond = no direct market. This is disastrous news for the shops that intended to stay open.
All UK comic shops just got closed by the government.

most likely. It's way too easy to pirate comics and movies compared to video games.

I dont think most shops can go on a six month break of selling new comics. They either go all in on Manga or a number of them will apply for the loan forgiveness and close their doors.

So Diamond is shutting down and they ship comics.I hope Marvel gives us a statement about this.So if you get it online you wont get comics. Is diamond the oney way or not.
-
is Diamond shutting down permanently?

Now I’m depressed. No comic books. No HeroClix and I work in a hospital. My 403B is like a plane with engine failure and one wing. Can this get any worse?

Until their printer shuts down, like DC's did. Then they are in the same boat. Not to mention, bookstores closing. Somewhere I read even Amazon is cutting back on what it is accepting into it's warehouses.
