I think I understand now why Justice League Action failed on Cartoon Network. It just wasn't goofy or comedic enough for current CN's standards :(.
The real shame is that such a strong voice cast is being utilized on this instead of a more straightforward take.

Is this weird Stephen Universe Adventure Time style all kids can visually tolerate these days? Do executives think traditional, pseudo-realistic styles will turn their little kid minds to goo?
This just blows.

I'm sure this is meant to appeal to CN's core demographics, pre-tweens and stoners.

Meanwhile Netflix's She-Ra reboot is looking great from the poster that's been revealed.
After how good they updated everything for the 2011 reboot to go to that horror?!? Burn it. Burn it with fire!!!
The 2011 series looked so good.

I will also have a soft spot for the original series but the 2011 series was great story wise.

I hate these random comedy shows.

Nickelodeon did the same with the Legend of Korra Series. But they are planning on rebooting series like Rocko's Modern Life,Invader Zim, and maybe Hey Arnold.
Granted, they don't really have the history of more realistic looking series, barring the Avatar series, but there is some hope for those.

Netflix seems to have the best track record for rebooting old action-adventure cartoons.

Now we now DC greenlit their streaming service because they're were absolutely tired of the excecutive meddling of network higher ups of constant delays, creative being held down, cancelling universal acclaim cartoons due to toy merchandise & tv shows due to low ratings
At least Disney is doing fine with the reboot version of Scroodge Mcduck while TMNT is going be a reboot changing their original roots (Changing the turtles weapons, elimanating well known villains in favour of new ones & switching Leo to Raphael as the leader & older brother while Leo as the hothead brother)

People say this is the style they teach at CalArts, which is why we see it so often now. I really can’t stand it.

Insert "Teen Titans Go!" and "ruining my childhood" memes.

Watching 10 seconds of Victor Courtright talk about his take on Thundercats had me wishing Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai would walk in and yell, "QUIET!"

I'm looking forward to giving it a look when it releases.
