How to add an avatar?

Okay, it seems so stupid but I can't find the option anywhere and, where it didn't bother me before, Ive been using this site now for around 2 years, so it's about time I stuck a funky Chiba pic' alongside my name...

Hi, my apologies if I have missed it if it was posted anywhere. Can anyone provide instructions or point to anywhere I can read how to upload pics for an avatar? Thanks
