Good times, indeed!
Remembered seeing the artwork of Doc Bright on Power Man & Iron Fist, then moving onto Iron Man turned out to be a great move (IMHO):

He really elevated the book when he came on. If I had any complaints it’d be that Layton’s inks tended to overpower any artist he worked with.

Feels fitting :).
So i've been thinking about the MCU lately, and honestly, i'm just not interested in an MCU without Tony in it. Doesn't seem right ya know? Their going to have a series about the Armor Wars, without Tony Stark, which just seems wrong. I'm curious about how you all feel about it...pretty sure i'm not alone in this opinion.

You're not alone, but handled well, I think it could be a great story about the legacy and impact Tony/Iron Man left behind in the MCU.

I don't necessarily disagree, although I'm glad Rhodey will get the spotlight in Armor Wars.

I'm fine with it. Tony had an inordinate amount of focus so I never felt it was lacking. He got the better ending and now it's a chance for other characters to shine.

They would have had to eventually reboot the entire MCU to keep Tony around, which at some point they will do eventually.
I'm glad to see how Tony's entire arc played out in the MCU and that he had the biggest role to play. He ended it by saving the universe.

I was like you when Tony died. The MCU just wasn’t the same place anymore. They’ve come along with some good shows and movies that got my interest piqued. Now I’m not enjoying it like I was when Tony was around. Not nearly as much, but there as I’ve said some material to keep me coming back.
A review of Iron Man Annual #1 from Bleeding Cool.

“wonderfully balancing the lead character's self-aggrandizing tendencies with the heart of a repentant hero”.
This here was what I was most noticing in the writing in this Iron Man Annual, about a self-aware Tony Stark internalising his faults as a person. I’m not sure I have ever read Stark dialogue of this nature before. I got a distinct feeling this was set in an alternative universe of some kind. I just can’t put my finger on it, but Tony doesn’t have this much awareness about his drawbacks. And the way he pranced about against the Assessor, thinking he had covered all the corners, when in fact he missed one? That at least was Stark being overconfident, and running into trouble. He always seems in need of having his ego punched.
This whole thing reminds me of a time just after Legacy started with Million year Avengers, and the Tony Stark, Iron Man series, and the Nick Fury mini about Nick and Hydra, which seems to be tied into the subject of the Infinite Fury 8 part series start.
