What people assume from doing work for CG isn't on King. He stated a fact, and he tried to protect his own ass from the assumption that comes along with that fact. How this has spun back on King is rather interesting.
King can acknowledge he messed up. So the person you are defending doesn’t even agree with you. No idea why you want to waste cycles on this when most people see it for what it is.
-
Ok. Im still confused nevertheless. Dude tried to stand up against CG and somehow it spun back on him. This is confusing to me, and honestly just protects CG and creators who do work for them.

He didn’t attack CG. He insinuated that Lee was part of CG and didn’t want him involved in covers with that work because of his affiliation. Also by saying “covers” he insinuated that Lee engaged in an ongoing relationship with CG. All of which were damaging to Lee’s reputation and got Lee harassed because King ran crying for the internet to vent rather than know what he was talking about
-
Doing work for CG is what insinuated Lee's association with CG, and doing work for CG is going to create misunderstandings. King didn't want someone who did work for CG associated with his work, said so, and now he's apologizing. Um, ok. Im still confused here. One assumes you do work for a hate group, you might get called out on it. Even if you didn't know. And honestly creators not wanting their work associated with other creators for working with CG isn't the worse thing in the world.

It sounds like you are stretching very hard to play devil’s advocate of plausible deniability for Tom King when he’s already apologizing for it largely on the basis that everyone else here is mentioning.
-
"devil’s advocate of plausible deniability" what does this even mean?
-
"devil’s advocate of plausible deniability" what does this even mean?
It means the person you are defending doesn’t even agree with your take on it and his apology literally acknowledges everything people have been discussing with you in contention to the point you are making.
-
My point isn’t really about King, but CG and creators working with them.

You are greatly downplaying (or seem ignorant of) the effects King's actions had.
Two weeks ago, June and I took Loki to San Diego to see a specialist. He did not survive due to complications from the surgery. This past Friday was supposed to be a day of mourning. We were back in San Diego to pick up his ashes. We were going to take him to the beach and comfort each other by sharing our favorite stories about our little boy.
Instead, a part of the internet I avoid like the plague came barging in. I had companies I'm working for calling me, friends reaching out to me. I'm seeing hate pouring out of strangers' mouths, accusing me of things I have no knowledge of.
I'm seeing first hand how fast lies are spreading. Let me be clear, I'm not part of ANY group.
We never made it to the beach. We spent the entire six hour drive back home on an emotional roller coaster.
I'm writing this because I'm angry. These irresponsible tweets are not harmless. They do not just go away. They have real world consequences. They can take away your job. Your life. Your memories. June and I were robbed of a special day. So, no, we're not "all good."
This isn't the start of a conversation. This is the end. So please, don't drag me into a world I never wanted to be a part of, nor will I ever want to be a part of.
I want to honor Loki by going back to producing art made with love. For people who enjoy it for what it is. Something that hopefully brings joy into their lives.
Mommy and Daddy miss you so very much, Loki, our love.
Emphasis mine.

Well at least we have public apology, maybe King will actually learn something here.
My point isn’t really about King, but CG and creators working with them.
Your point is that King did nothing wrong when he did, admitted it and apologized publicly and privately. But please, continue to spin it.

And I hope Jae Lee did too and everyone else in the comics industry! Teaching moment all around.

Jae Lee had nothing to learn since he stopped working with CG before this mess happened.

No, my point is King’s misunderstanding and knee jerk tweet is the result of something some of you are blatantly overlooking. Throwing around “false accusations” for stating fact and misconstruing where the insinuations actually stem from. But I’m spinning it...

What exactly we are overlooking? Nobody has claimed that Lee didn't do a cover for EVS. I'm not aware of what else is there to "overlook"?
-
Then why are people calling it a “false accusation" and misdirecting the insinuations that come from doing that. This is why I’m confused.
