See, someone else understands. Skirt is disheveled too.

Like of the 10, we've only seen
Wolverine
Magik
Cable
Magneto(?)
post the event
We've only seen three or four characters involved event on the covers for December. Folks can die plus the change in trajectory of character motivations. Will Betsy stay Cap B? Will Monet become the new omniversal matrix? Does that mean Saturnyne falls? What happens to Otherworld in the midst of this war/contest? etc etc. There's stakes even if they don't fall directly with the immediate threat.
I never really got the whole death=stakes thing from comic book fans because like, literally don't lol and even if it did there's more than one way to raise tension in a story line and have a lasting consequences to characters actions rather than just DEATH.
I mean yeah but let's be real solicitations are already out for post X of Swords we already know the X people win and with ressurection everyone is safe what are the "real" stakes, nothing honestly.
we actually know from the post XoS solicitations that the resurrection is not safe; from the X-Factor description: CAN RESURRECTION SURVIVE? The events of X OF SWORDS have put the resurrection protocols in jeopardy! As the Five deals with the fallout, X-Factor investigates those affected by the tragedy…
I'm sure the resurrection will be fine eventually, but there will be some consequences. The X-Men issue's description also suggest this: X OF SWORDS FALL OUT! The Captain Commander of Krakoa made a fateful decision. There’s no going back.

Disappointed Lorna wasn't in her X-Factor duds.
-
My only other main takeaway was that the Saturyne lady looks exactly like Emma to the point I wouldn't be shocked if they have some connection.

Those look like street clothes. I think the costume used looked better than how the X-Factor one would have in those panels

Loved this comic. Loved it.
This is the most unique event Marvel has put out for a while.
And amazingly, Apocalypse is gonna be the protagonist of the entire show and it totally works.
My question is how why on earth did Saturnyne want the X-Men to reactivate SWORD?
She's a tricky one, Saturnyne. Keep one eye on her while you sleep.

A solid start to the crossover with high quality art. Solid writing and interesting science fiction and fantasy themes.

Something something mutant clothing
Disappointed Lorna wasn't in her X-Factor duds.
Laraz draws her with class, let's keep it that way at least until the X factor issue

Imagine that you are so calmly in Krakoa and suddenly they tell you "Hey, in three days you have a tournament to the death in which you have to face mutants who have thousands of years of experience in the art of war. They know your powers because Summoner has spied on you but you don't know theirs. Good luck! ".
No wonder they are all trying to train Cypher on the covers.

LOVED this. Otherworld giving me high fantasy realness.

I like it. X Factor has a more laid-back lighter tone feel to it so wouldn't really make much sense for her to wear that outfit especially since in this Mission she's representing not only herself but the House of M. Got to wear that battle armor like father!
