Help to identify X-Men issue

Hi all,

I read an issue of X-Men in the mid-90's, and I would like to read it again, perhaps the whole series. I only have vague memories of it. There was a guy with a mask that comes and saves a girl from being raped while her small brother(?) is watching. The guy kills the abuser(I think). Later, he fights with an X-Man with wings and kills the X-Man. I remember very much the hand of the guy with the mask holding the face of the X-Man. I think that the guy is eventually killed by Storm in the same issue.
Does this rings the bell of anybody?

Pretty sure that was the X-Cutioner killing Tower in Uncanny X-Men Annual 17.
