I noticed that the color of the Fallen Angels logo seems to denote which character is focused on in that particular issue: https://www.comixology.eu/Fallen-Angels-2019-1/digital-comic/801014
Interesting.
This is the same fanbase that's still clutching on to a Hellion romance that lasted 10 or so issues over a decade ago.
Dunno; I've no real use for the Hellion relationship and I'd kinda prefer X-23 to not with Krakoa then with.
I say this as one of the five people who didn't have a problem with their failure to hook-up; but that had 6 years set-up, and while hooking them up is not something I'd be routing for, the way that ended did demand follow-up.
Why do you think that? (I'm asking since I personally didn't need followup, so am curious about another viewpoint.)
Although I never stuck with it, I liked what Hopeless did with Laura in the first issue (of the book he wrote), he addressed her restless energy by having her do extreme sports like skiing etc. That's how I can see her cutting lose. Not anxious about the potential of what I am going to see. I don't think that Hill really gets the character. From what I heard above, I think Hill will turn Laura into another UFC fighter/Wolvie with boobs knock off. Hill just makes it sound like she's a nut who likes to go to bars late at night to fight.
And that was the exact same book that had Laura's brain surgically removed and being reckless for no other reason than being reckless because "I'm the Wolverine, and this is what Logan would do. RAWRSNKIT"

Him mid breakdown screaming epithets at her as she walked away seemed a tad dangling to me; felt it needed an eventual touch base and a "I needed to do what was right for me" conversation with him to properly tie it up.

Or the fact she flat-out lied to his face about not caring about him anymore...then turning around and telling Gambit that she DID. There was certainly a sense of "To Be Continued..." Especially because they BOTH handled things poorly.
I re-read her first appearance in X-Men #17 by Nicieza. She was actually a very interesting character.
I remember reading it on release. She wasn't interesting at all, IMO.
And I would hope that we get some of that. It would be a bit of a salve to old long time fans like myself who are fans of Psylcke/Betsy Braddock and who don't understand why she is changed back into being a white (princess) woman. As if the books don't have enough of them already. It's as if a beloved character has been killed off.
I am a longtime fan. Betsy Braddock is not Asian, and racewashing her was antiquated and inappropriate in 2018-19, as the change devolved her into a racial fetish object for a lot of horny nerds.
the person she chose to be.
Betsy never chose to be put into Kwannon's body.
And Betsy is alive and well. Now Kwannon and her form have a chance to be more than a doll/object and build a new character. I honestly hope they can do that, because I think the Kwannon retcon was idiotic from day one but I think the Asian Psylocke form has import and significance beyond just branding; it can become an iconic Asian character on its own without the troubling and unfortunate past. There is no reason English Betsy and Kwannon as Psylocke cannot coexist. The truth is something like this should've been done years ago.

I could see Julian popping in for a guest appearance down the line...after all there's no place in Heaven for Hellions. XD
That and with Julian's most recent appearances his character was mostly removed from the X-Men. I mean in Nightcrawler he was a young actor, who may or may not have done porn, and then in Uncanny Avengers he was helping at the inhuman hospital. Plus with the X-Men's tendency to forget about him (cough the whole Terrigen fiasco cough) I could see him not Krakoa.

Guess her last line about not being emotionless, just not wanting to pursue things with him (or however she put it), was enough for me. I mean, the intent of that plot thread in that story was that Hellion was trying to get together with X-23 while she had worked out that that wasn't what she wanted, so I'm not sure what further interactions would've added, given the impasse. Mileage may vary.

Just thinking out loud, but could she still care about him, but not in that way?

At the end of the day...it's all up to the writer and editorial.
But here's the thing with the X-Men, character relationships are very rarely truly "over"

Husk and Bling are certainly surprising additions. I'm confused at their connection to the team (even thematic), but I like both of them so I'll take it.
-
It's meant to be the guys who don't like Krakoa. Laura would object to the resurrections because it involves cloning, Cable would know how it all turns out, Kwannon was body swapped, so she'd have similar objections to Laura. So what would Husk and Bling's problems be?

Didn't Paige go through a nervous breakdown a couple years ago? Maybe there's some lingering anger/instability over that.
Bling! has me scratching my head. If any of the NXM-era characters would have been telling Krakoa to stuff it it would have been Hellion, especially, as Big G pointed out, after all the times the X-Men dropped him (like leaving him to choke on the Inhuman Fart Cloud).
-
I think Bling! would have a problem with the X-Men seemingly kicking up the isolationist streak to 11, especially if it seemed to her that they were sticking their heads in the sand over certain issues. Husk, though, I couldn't begin to guess.

Husk has already been depicted as someone who struggles with her emotional state due to her epidermal metamorphosis, it could simply be that the concept of the pod resurrection sends her down an ethical spiral. She’s a questionable sense of self. In her original appearances (Generation X, not pre-mutant), Paige struggled with her insecurities which motivated her to change how others saw her and excel at any cost. Equally, she’s quite regularly been shown as dependent on the men in her life (Chamber, Archangel, and even Toad unfortunately). She’s my favourite character, and I’m honestly not surprised she would take this trajectory. Her power is an allegory for being uncomfortable in her own skin and changing to react to those around her. What happens when it’s not her own skin? It looks, thinks and feels like her but would Paige really be blasé about that kind of experience?
I’m excited to see where this goes for her.

Krakoa isn’t just an “X-Men” thing, though. It’s a nation of mutants that finally gives his friends safety. Why would that be something that Hellion fights against? Besides, he’s someone that is always on the mutants’ side of things.

It is kind of hilarious how the X-Men repeatedly keep forgetting about Hellion. Unloved.
