The reason I'm so disillusioned is that it doesn't look like there's any plan - it's just random story arcs thrown together by various writers who take various pieces of whatever continuity they want and try to force the elements into a story idea they've come up with. Who knows what's next. Maybe Rachel dies and then is resurrected again for an Excalibur book which ignores everything that's happened in the last 20 years. It all depends on what whatever the next writers come up with.
I don't think there has been a plan for the x-men since Morrison

well thats not true. There clearly was a plan with the deciMation which I think for the most part Marvel executed well into Second Coming. You cant tell a story like that without years of buildup and actual planning. Id say even the IvX era had a plan. Though it was poorly executed, it had a clear status quo and event it was building up to. Things have been fairly directionless since the ResurrXion era. It seems as if they are right now as well but we'll have to wait till into Hickman's run if the past year has been for nothing as its implied that its allegedly been done to put certain pieces in place for him to work with

It was Morrison's "plan" that lead to what we fans are receiving today.

No,since Marvel decided to do an 180° on Morrison's vision, from mutantkind thriving to dying.

Not by a longshot. Under Morrison, mutants were a counterculture, they felt like a human society with a generation gap.
House of M gave us a long line of stories involving the fate of the mutant race.

I think Claremont’s XSE was a very solid chunk of stories following Morrison’s status quo. For me, it was House of M was the first big species panic that started the last decade+ of monotony. AvX should’ve closed the book on those stories, but IvX was right on its heels.

They really seem to think that extinction stories are the only ones that sell.

There's always been sort of a balance of power between writers, artists and editors. And now that's all seems to be in the hands of the writers more than ever. Writers are free to pitch anything they like, and editors could go for it. There's no effort to try to rein the writers in.

It makes sense from the editors perspective. They get the rewards if the story sells, and can just blame the writer if it doesn't. Allows for maximum job security with minimum effort.

Does any of you liked the mullet?
I honestly didn't like it.

I liked Rachel with her bob style in the Prestige days. If they got rid of that silly arrow pointing down I think the costume would actually be not bad, maybe put a starburst on her chest to represent the Starchilde.

There is nothing about Rachel that I didn't like.

I liked it too.

I'd like to see Rachel rock the pixie cut Brie Larson had in Endgame. That style looks fantastic on powerful women.
