As the term is "work" the clothing should be appropriate to the type of work. Office work, office clothes.
I think dress code should be up to the individual.
That said, I firmly believe in dressing for the job you want, not the one you currently have.
The job I want is full-time writer, which I do in my underwear. I don't think they'll let me come into my current job like that.

I work in an office, near a garage, with NO contact with the general public
I should be allowed in here in a tshirt and basketball shorts as long as I don't smell bad
I work in IT. If you put on a pair of Dockers, everyone thinks you have a job interview.
I work from home 3-4 days per week, so I usually wear Football shorts and a T-shirt (and no shoes)
on days I drive in?
Shorts with a belt (usually cargo shorts) and a T-shirt.
(my group doesn't interact with anyone in "outside" groups -- and as is true of most Tech jobs, they don't really care what you wear (or look like), they care you can get the job done).
Attended a meeting with US personnel at Camp Kinser. I will never understand how some Americans can talk so much! :D
Heh, I'm always amused that the Japanese think we're a bunch of rude bastards because not only do we talk during meals, we've made it a pretty large part of our culture. But that's what we do. We're never happier than when we're running our mouths. :)

Ha ha!
(I know what you mean)
How do you feel in those situations?

I'm American by citizenship and (somewhat) upbringing, but not quite "completely" American. I do get amused by the talk for talks sake types, the guys who "echo what he just said" for the sake of hearing themselves talk. I'd love to call them out on it but would feel like I'm being mean.
I'm working my way through my backlog of comics, including some I purchased at Heroes. I've hit a patch with some bad dialogue or narration. Been kinda awkward.

So you stopped because of bad writing?
So you stopped because of bad writing?
Not really. Just worked out that way. I'll read another in a bit.
How are you today?
I'm okay. A bit sad that Japan got eliminated in the World Cup. Enjoying a break at work right now. How about you?

I'm okay as well, though it is a bit warm in the room at the moment. Not really doing much of anything. Just finished feeding the rabbit and getting some apple juice.

I feel like poking my eyes with a pen!
I try to act polite and patient though :D

The cute rabbit from the pet thread! Say hi to him/her for me and pet as well.
I have to get back to work now :(

I have known several people that I swear think they must keep talking constantly to reassure themselves that they actually exist. :)
