I voted other, and by other I mean Jeff Parker. I enjoyed his work on team books like Agents of Atlas and Thunderbolts. I believe he would be fantastic as the writer of The Avengers.
Pencils by Paul Pelletier please!
I would have said Brian Wood but his X-Men run was a bit dull and his characterisation of Sublime was utterly bizarre and nonsensical. I suspect editorial had a big effect on him and that'd likely be the case for Avengers. I'm not overly familiar with some of the guys mentioned there but I'd like to see what somebody like Warren Ellis or Matt Fraction (or Ellis and Fraction) might come up with.
Mark Waid.
Peter David. Although I think Joe Casey would be amazing as well.
Al Ewing, with Nick Spencer close behind.
Kyle+Yost or Abnett+Lanning.
If A-Force is going to be the main Avengers series, than the writer is G. Willow Wilson--who didn't receive a single vote. But I may have missed something.
I'm not convinced A-Force is going to be the Avengers book, at least after Secret Wars. I'm a little surprised she has so little votes to be honest with you, she seems to have ghreat momentum and everybody seems to love her. It'll be very interesting to see how she deals with a team.
I would straight up die if it was Grant Morrison. Doubt it, but I have a feeling he might do something for Marvel somewhat soon besides that All-new Miracleman Annual.
I sure would like to see Morrison do some more Marvel work, fingers crossed eh?
Kyle+Yost or Abnett+Lanning.
I really dig DnA's Guardians so they could be a cool team. I'm equally impressed by Abnett's Guardians 3K though so I wouldn't mind him taking a stab at it alone.
Mark Waid.
Yes. I'll pick up just about ANYTHING Mark Waid writes.
So, I'd actually read a main Avengers book if he was writing it.
I vote Rick Remender because that would keep him away from the X-men.

But he once wrote Avenger main book. Did you actually read that :)
DNA; failing that, Spencer or Ewing.
I am surprised that a writer as big as him hasn't done more work for Marvel.
He has done a ton of work for Marvel, just not recent. Look up his critically acclaimed work on X-men(not my favorite) and Marvel Boy( oh so good).
But he once wrote Avenger main book. Did you actually read that :)
No.
I have not been reading comics long. And Avengers aren't my favorite as it is.
Ewing and PAD are the only two on the list I'd want.
So... I'll go with Ewing.
