Is there code to resize an image?

Sometimes the images I link are just to big. I know there are ways using max=%, but I don't know the exact way to phrase it.
Any help is appreciated.
So, [ img ] image link [ /img ] (spaces added) would become? If I wanted it a 75%

You could try the width and height properties but remember that it will use pixels as the unit of measure. But that is what I use on another site where it will take html code. I don't know if that is allowed here.

or roughly <img src = "image url" height = "400" width = "600"> and you would have to know the correct aspect ratio or it could end up looking distorted. I just resize mine with Microsoft Photo Editor before uploading.

Thanks IM, I don't upload, just link using [ img ]. I'll try the code you posted. Is the <> part of the code?

I tried on a post. I am not sure if html code works in our posts. Could Sean or a Mod tell me if that is so?

Sorry, didn't see your reply. Yes, what are normally the greater than or less than signs are used as code brackets in html.

I think html codes are not active in our posts. Wishing a Mod could clear this up.

And yes, HTML code doesn't work on the forums.

If you're able to, I would suggest altering the image size yourself, upload it to an image sharing site (Imgur, etc...), then share it that way. Or if you're able to reduce the size to the forum limits, upload it here.[/size][/color][/font]

Thanks Conn, I usually try to find an image at the right size for the post, but sometimes I only find a larger one. It is just easier to link an image than upload. But no big deal, I just wanted the info...and now I know. :)
