Amazing Spider-Man #200, this one is a product of Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard — the team behind FF #200 — but it’s way more memorable and engaging for the way that it goes back to the very first Spider-Man story and, consequently, the very first Spider-Man villain. See, this is the one where Spidey finally gets his hands on the burglar who shot Uncle Ben!
It’s a dodgy idea, but the team pulls it off phenomenally well, and in doing so, they give Spider-Man the superheroic victory that completes the cycle started by his horror-structure origin story.

Amazing Spider-man v1 annual #14, 1980 - Dr. Doom conspires with Dormammu to unleash a new malevolent force. Meanwhile, Spider-man responds to Doctor Strange's mystical call for help. Frank Miller's cover radiates with power, contrasting the heroic figures with Dr. Doom's image in the background. Inside, the artist delivers one of his most exceptional works. Each page is carefully designed, with enough variations to maintain interest in this lengthy adventure. Miller employs two-page wide panels at certain intervals, dividing the story into more manageable segments. His splendid drawings often pay homage to Steve Ditko's early Dr. Strange issues (see interior page below).

Miller's already formidable pencils are further enhanced by inker Tom Palmer.

Amazing Spider-man v1 #218, 1981 - Roughened up and angry, an imprisoned Peter Parker glares at us from the inside. Frank Miller spaces the bars a little too widely, but enough to convey the idea. Parker's alter ego is prominent but faded to suggest an internal anguish. There is a beauty to Miller's simplicity, which also intensifies the scene.
