Anyone know of any announcements from Marvel or the writer of the book as to what the status of the ongoing is?? I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was cancelled but i can't recall anouncements of any type concerning the book after COVID wrecked Marvel's publishing schedule.

Good question.
I’m not o e for tracking sales, was it doing well before the forced hiatus?

I wasn't tracking the sales either but i can't imagine the numbers were anything too spectacular after five issues given it's a Morbius ongoing. If nothing else before COVID i personally don't feel it would've been a stretch for Marvel to let the book carry on for a bit despite poor sales so they'd have some content featuring Morbius to coincide with the movie which was originally set to release in July but now that's well out the window.

It has been so long now, what should the next issue be, #6?

Yes # 6 would be next and it was solicited up to issue number 8....Maybe somone who has twitter can ask the writer of the series if she knows what the status of the book is:confused:

Vita Ayala is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

Ok...I don't really do that type of deep dive information checking for the authors of my comics to know how they self identify or prefer to be addressed.

I have a lot of different ways I can respond to this, but they may be construed as a bit too blunt, so this'll have to suffice.

Looking forward to future discussions on the stories of Michael Morbius!
-Pav, who really hopes his current solo isn't cancelled...

This has or hasn't been cancelled like so many others?
I hope not but Marvel has been disappointing me a lot lately.
-
Did we ever get news and I missed it about the fate of this title?

Welp, seems this got cancelled and they're going to launch a new series with a different team...

Too little too late for me. I’ve lost interest in the book, and this rebooting doesn’t help.
It’s a shame because I actually like the character.

I'm in. Didn't really care for his last two series, but this is a Morbius I recognize and want to read about

Well, I'm a little bummed that the Morbius series we had been reading has been cancelled. I wasn't wild about it, but it seemed to have an interesting trajectory up ahead when we left off.
At this point, I'm neither optimistic or pessimistic when a new Morbius series is released. But I'll definitely be picking it up and hoping it contains some of the magic that hasn't graced his comic since the 90s.
I noticed this is a oneshot but that it also supposedly sets up his future. Gotts believe Emil's son also becomes a vampire and gives Morbius a new reason for living. A new sidekick doesn't really appeal to me, but I'm not one to judge a comic I haven't read.
-Pav, who also notices the art is giving Morbius an old-school look...
