Congrats DD.
And thanks for the vote, Tami. :) I was worried maybe I had a gone a little too 'left field' with my entry this week.

Thanks to one and all for voting for my cover! I should point out in the spirit of full disclosure, though, that it's the second time it has been given that distinction. :o I guess it wasn't a fluke after all. ;)
I'll set up the new contest this morning.

Congrats DD! But I have to point out WW is not a Native Born American and therefore can't be President. ;)

I claim my no-prize by mentioning that this is a story in the future and the US Constitution may very well have been amended by that point to allow non-native borns to become president.

Congratulations to the Darknight Detective for a deviously current cover which signifies a powerful force making itself known in American politics. I'd be surprised if that cover wasn't plastered over T-shirts by someone as it makes a powerful statement.
As to what the captain has learned this week, once again he is shown how real life occurrences can be reflected in our funny books. Elections are a way we can adhere to the "majority rules" and our society relies on them to make life fairer. We over-simplify our elections as comic book battles of good guy vs bad guy. Unlike sports which have a very similar attitude, elections are decided by the observers, not the participants. The hero must get others to their side and that is often a tougher battle than just being right.

Congratulations, Dark Knight Dectective! With the news about Stan Lee's passing I completely forgot about voting or putting up a last minute entry.
Looking forward to your contest!
