Those JB shelves are awesome!! I'm a bit jealous as I basically have to stack everything on one shelf at my place at the moment due to limited space....the figurine is pretty cool as well. I really one to get the Jaws or Oddjob ones from that collection.

I completely forgot that Ayala and Lore were the new crew taking over in December. I'm curious if their run will be only 12 issues like Pak's or its opening to be more a continuation if the reception is positive. I love Ayala's description of Bond as "a Terminator in a tux" (though that's partially also because I'm a huge Terminator fan). I liked Lore describing their series as having the Vibe of Burn Notice/White Collar. I feel like that could be an interesting direction to go with things. My only disappointment so far is that Cheung is only doing the covers and not the interior art as well.

Happy Global James Bond Day :D
-
I'm late to the game, but Happy James Bond Day to you as well! Honestly, I had not realized James Bond Day was a thing until earlier today. Makes sense since Dr. No came out on this date in 1962. To celebrate, there was finally an official poster released for No Time to Die. Its a fairly generic poster, but it's exciting to me to see marketing finally starting to kick off for the film.

Indeed it is! :D They also released a 25 second clip of his best moments on Twitter, that was fun :p

Yeah, not a huge fan of the poster. Hopefully the final one looks a bit better. Then again, sometimes they can be worse. While I thought the teaser poster for Skyfall was cool with Bond coming out of gunbarrel, the final poster was him mainly on the ground pointing his gun. I know it was supposed to reflect the 007 logo but still seemed kind of meh. SPECTRE's teaser was kind of interesting, although I don't think Bond wears that particular outfit in the film-he does have an all black tactical outfit but it's more of a jacket. The final poster was pretty good with Bond sporting the "Goldfinger" style tux and the skull mask in the background.
I think Roger Moore's films had the best poster art. 70s and 80s were pretty much the golden age of epic movie poster art, before the 90s-today started pretty much decided to use photographs instead of paintings with some exceptions like the early Harry Potters and the Star Wars prequels. Dalton's posters were a bit dull, for example; there's a nice Living Daylights poster out there with the scenes in the movie painted in the gunbarrel but we mostly just see the one with Bond pointing his gun at the woman at the white dress (presumabely Kara?)
Sad thing about Licence was that there were some cool concept posters but we wound up with two very generic ones...and what's with the one that just shows a photo of the Bond girls in the middle?

Empire released a new photo from No Time to Die. Well not mind blowing, it's nice to get a photo a bit different from the tuxedo photos we have been getting.

I agree, nothing special, but it's nice to just get something :p

Much like a lot of the marketing for No Time to Die, not much about the movie is revealed in this article...we do get confirmation that the main villain is named Safin. I don't know of any Bond villains in the novels by this name which goes along with this being an original story. According to the article, there are rumors that Safin could be some kind of eco-terrorist, but again no confirmation. I appreciate them playing things close to the vest but considering the film is basically a half year away, I expected a bit more information about it at this point. But it will hopefully make for a more satisfying experience if we go in with limited information to go on.

Actually kind of reminds me a lot of some of the early CASINO ROYALE photos, which showed a bloodied, dirty, sweaty Bond in casual wear from the Madagascar sequence of the movie.
-
I hadn't thought of that before, but I agree that there is a strong parallel between the two. I'm hoping it's a good indication that the tone of this film will be more in line with Casino Royale than Spectre.

No Time to Die trailer is due on Wednesday :D
