The Aqua-Sword ?
I'd never swap out his Trident, I thought the pirate harpoon hand was 90s desperatextreme, and later Busiek had him with the sword in- The Sword of Atlantis.

Although I could see maybe having both Trident and a Sword, ....
Looking at the silly but charming Swordfish-Sword, which was included in the Ideal Cap. Action, and other merch. visuals of the time.
I'm wondering was there any precedence for this Swordfish-Sword in the comics?
Thanks!
That conch horn needs to make a comeback 100%.

man, this is awesome!
Captain Action Aquaman is prepared for any situation :p.
So what else needs to happen for Aquaman to get that fourth spot on DC's Rushmore?
The Trinity are untouchable from the Golden Age onward.
But that "Fourth Pillar" should not be (and isn't) Harley Quinn.
Really, Arthur's only true competition, across all media, are
1. Barry Allen
2. Hal Jordan
3. Dick Grayson
4. Billy Batson
I feel Batson is forever trapped as DC's step-child.
Grayson is stuck between Batman and the Titans, with neither franchise revolving around him.
Hal hasn't been the only Earth Green Lantern for a while.
Barry has a Neverending civil war with Wally West fans.
I think Arthur has a real shot!
This! This is what I've been thinking for a loooooong time. While Arthur is clearly not the fourth most popular hero (that is still Dick Grayson), he SHOULD be, in terms of recognition as one of the four most important leaguers. Dick is forever trapped between Robin, Nightwing and Batman; Barry is trapped in the fandom's constant fights between him and Wally's fans; Hal's popularity and apparitions keep geting lower and lower...
Arthur is the right choice for a "Quadrinity"

Mera is 100% right Arthur, put that shirt back on and let's have an Aqua Adventure!

I love that the idea of Aquaman and Atlanteans having barefeet has finally made it into the comics

Dick isn't really a contender or an option to me. Dick is mainly iconic for being Robin, and in general pop culture, Robin is either an extension of Batman or a member of Titans, never really a successful brand in its own right.
Hal was on firmer ground before his movie flopped. Now, it seems like he could be replaced by John or anyone else at any moment. We'll see what happens with the next GL movie.
Flash fans may be divided, but right now, Barry is THE Flash across all media, and there's no incentive to change that any time soon. He's the biggest competition Arthur has for that fourth spot.
Right now, I think Aquaman just needs another movie and memorable appearances in cartoons and video games.

Love under the sea :).
I'm fine with these looks in a casual setting but rather they not be the official looks they've been as for the past several issues.

Yeah, I recently went back to the Johns run and those are still probably the best modern incarnations of both their costumes.
