The Goddamn Bat-Bat

Wordsmith, he is not.
Am I wrong that I want to see Clownhunter as sometimes ally, sometimes antagonist. A shade of gray darker than most bat family members? Maybe in the same vein as Anarky? He’d do great opposite Tim, should Tim ever get his own book again.

I think he’d have an interesting dynamic with Bluebird, given they’re both from the Narrows.

Likewise with The Signal, who's also from the Narrows and who shares a connection with Bao in being someone who has been shaped by a tragedy specifically perpetrated by The Joker's hands.

Yeah, but that would require anyone at DC (including her creator sadly) to remember Harper exists.
Edit: Never mind. Just read she's appearing again after a long time in limbo.

No no, that's a legit concern, since only Tynion ever wrote her after she's sent to Limbo.
Could he be the Magistrate?
I’d vote for him in election with his no clowns policy!

Considering the seeds of the concept is being planted now, he's too young. The Magistrate isn't supposed to be an actual person, either. That's just the name of the whole operation. The leader from Future State is known as "Peacekeeper One". And the Magistrate is against costumed identities in general, so Bao Pham as Clownhunter would just be another name they'd be gunning for.

I could see him being apart of them but not the leader. But I guess it depends on what happens to him in the next 15 years to turn against other costumed heroes.
People already said this theory in multiple threads but I might as well post the pic:

funny enough, Tynion recently said he originally had plans for clownhunter in another book when his Batman run was originally supposed to end after issue 100. He also said to pay attention to teen titans future state, so maybe Clownhunter will be red x...
Nice catch. I can’t wait to see how we get from Clownhunter to Red X.
