Yeah...
Looks like Red Star and Payton Starman got together and made Booster a suit, and then Animal-Man took the suit for a test drive (the face looks like Buddy, not Booster).

Another nice image from Kevin Maguire

I have to say, after a series of clunky armors following the destruction of his original suit, I really liked this suit. It showed up very little, before Booster unexplainedly went back to wearing his original, with a few cosmetic alterations.
Peace

There was a mini-reunion of Giffen/DeMatteis/(and I think Maguire) before the Formerly Known and I Can't Believe stories. It was a flashback story from when Black Canary was still a member and it ended with Beetle and Booster being chased by a giant rat(?).
Does anyone remember what book and issue that was from?

Found it. It's from JLA 80 Page Giant #1 from June 1998 and the story is called Mousebusters. There's a mouse in the Justice League HQ and it's up to Blue and Gold to get rid of it. And it is drawn by Kevin Maguire. I've got this issue somewhere in my house. I'm just going to have to find it. LOL

This story obviously must've taken place sometime after Batman one-punched Guy and he became a loveable dolt. Man, I miss these days.
Yeah, it would've had to have happened between #7 (when Guy hit his head after getting bit by the mouse) and #8 (when they moved into their new HQ).

I thought Hughes always did an amazing job drawing Fire and Ice. Love it.

Wouldn't it be cool if Teen Titans Go and DC superherogirls had a spinoff.
The humor would be perfect for JLI.

Except that Teen Titans Go and Superhero Girls are a bit too juvenile.
JLI was more twenty-something/thirty-something 'co-worker buddy' humor.
And I definitely wouldn't buy it if they put kiddie art on it.
