The arachnoid girlies are UPSET they weren’t invited, okay? That’s how you know a party was lit. LOOOOOOL.
Peter literally taught at the school, it's not like he's some random guy. His relationship with the X-Men is sure as shit better than the FF and Wakanda, who the X-Men recently burned bridges with for I guess editorial reasons

I think though that's partly why they were invited, in hopes of mending bridges and showing the most skeptical what Krakoa is about. As Emma said in her opening speech:
"Let tonight be about building a bridge into a future together rather than about our previous differences and rows."
-
I guess that makes sense even some of those are fights they themselves picked
-
I like the idea of MJ posting pro-krakoa images on her twitter and for her to be at the Gala with Peter as her plus one but I donīt think the X-office considered this, could have been a good idea imo.
Marvel really can't fathom Peter being known to the public primarily as a supermodel turned actress's boyfriend so not surprised they didn't think of it, but that was a perfect reason for MJ and him to be in attendance.

They were probably annoyed by the whole Venom king space alien bullshit, like the rest of us, sis.

Lol how is that his fault? Do the X-Men have a right to be annoyed with other heroes after they picked a totally meaningless fight with the FF and Wakanda over fucking nothing
All I'm saying is inviting the Nazis to the big party over Spider-Man, just because of their race, is bullshit
-
Eh this party was a political move by Emma to benefit from their allies and check their enemies. And unfortunately Peter just has no value politically especailly sense Marvel wants to treat Peter like the red headed stepchild of the hero community.
-
If they were trying to look good to the rest of the world why invite the Nazis?? Sinister is at least on the Council (but apparently not well known outside the X-Men circles)
If the message is "The mutants are not racial supremacists aiming to take over the world" why invite the mutants that are those things
Especially since it's not like any mutant can just go, since the Hellions weren't invited and just crashed the party right?

I didn't say that wanted to look good I said the gala was a political move. A show of strength to their enemies and a oppurtunity to make beneficial alliances.
Why would Emma invite a man to a state dinner when he doesn't bring any financial and political power to the party.

They invited many celebrities as well.MJ has a blockbuster movie coming up and it would be perfect.Peter can be the plus one.
Only way I see they didn't attend is declining because of the Kindred stuff going on in ASM.

It's the whole Franklin ish all over again.
Nobody here cared about Peter Parker (still don't if you can be honest with yourselves) until he might have been slighted by the Mutants. If nothing else the faux offense is consistent.

Umm... :p
Also, I don't think people are hating on Emma here but at TPTB for including Nazis and not very relevant real-life celebrities at the party and then saying Peter Parker had no reason to be at a socio-political fashion gala despite him being the partner of one of the MU's biggest supermodels who is also starring in an upcoming blockbuster, meaning all eyes will be on her in the immediate future as she will be promoting the film with interviews.
I actually am more offended for Mary Jane than Peter here TBH. It's the Dazzler fiasco all over again. You have a popular female character who has tons of potential to be used in fascinating ways but Marvel still being the subconscious boys' club that they are (despite some recent attempts), don't know what to do with her as she's not exactly the "powerful" female character whose utility is more apparent to them. Obviously it's not as insulting to the character as One More Day but still... the fact that one of the company's senior editors can confidently say he doesn't see a reason for their flagship character to attend the Hellfire Gala despite said character's love interest being an iconic supermodel for almost 40 years now shows how little consideration they give her.

Piotr’s girlfriend is a supermodel?
