It doesn't matter. Some studio is going to give him money to make movies.
But yeah, compared to who? Guy gets a lot of flack for "sucking", but who's out there, in the same arena, making blockbuster after blockbuster that isn't dumb kicksplode garbage?

Whatever. I'm sure Nolan was given a lot of freedom to do what he wanted with Tenet, and most of the reaction seems to suggest it wasn't very good. Maybe his next project will turn out better.

And maybe you’ll watch the next one before commenting on it.

What? From what I heard it was well liked.

Tenet was well received. The most flack it gets is being too complex for its own good and being emotionless.

People complain that the comic book movies are popcorn fluff. Then they say Nolan movies are too complex.
It's like people look for things to complain about.

ROFL :D :p

It's more like social media has dumbed down discourse, so movie criticism is reduced to blanket value judgements--this was trash, that was the best, this is stupid, that's too complicated. Movie criticism doesn't need to be about passing judgement or assigning stars--it can be a discussion of cinema and semiotics. But the medium we're communicating in dictates the kind of message we send which is usually curt and bombastic.

This is the copy/paste review of every movie he’s ever made.

A movie by an overrated director still stands a better chance at making you money than a film that doesn't get made because director's have decided not to work for you.

Which is unfair, there was great emotion at the heart of Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk.

Looks like NO TIME TO DIE has been delayed until October.

I agree. Especially Interstellar. The whole story is about emotion, and the IMAX switches are often used to highlight emotional moments as much as spectacle.

Big yikes another delay.
