Axel Kruse, the drummer and a founding member of Jaded Heart, has left the band after 23 years.
"After careful consideration and with a heavy heart, I have decided to leave Jaded Heart after 23 years. This decision has already been in my head for a while, and I want to make it very clear that it has nothing to do with the other guys in the band personally. I simply felt that I had come to a point where I should draw a line and restart my career. I will still play in Mad Max, and I will keep you informed about news on possible involvements in other new projects. Thanx for the great support over all the years to everyone involved, especially all the Jaded Heart fans out there! See ya again soon... "

A piracy study has shown that downloaders are more likely to pay for films rather than music. However:
Previous studies have found that people who pirate content are also much more likely to purchase content legally than those who do not illegally download music and movies, often being greater consumers of media.
Illegal filesharers from the US and Germany were found to buy 30% more music than people who did not pirate music, for instance.
The basics is to pay for what you can. There's a lot of acts who do give music away, but there's a lot of acts who can't afford to lose money from sales.
-
It makes sense to me that the people who are more interested in music would be the ones more likely to both pirate or pay for it. Activity follows interest, etc.
-
If you pirate music, you should be hung from a yardarm.
-
It's so unnecessary, too, with so many free services out there like Spotify that are basically better than free.
They...give you money?
More a convenient, easy interface with everything in one place. Getting paid to listen to music would be hard to beat, though.
-
If people don't pay for music, then artists won't be able to make more music and all that's left is Simon Cowell leering over the core of old acts desperately plugging away on the nostalgia circuit. No new music will be created and we'll have nothing like punk or rave to gee a generation up.
