SABERTOOTH/WOLVERINE: As vicious as the NAME implies!
Yeah, this is one I'd been thinking of the last couple of days.
I really thought someone’d beat me to it...!
Is that Latin or something? How did he get that name? The most obvious name for his powers, Chameleon, was taken though.
It's a lizard:
a·no·le
/əˈnōlē/
noun
a small, mainly arboreal American lizard with a throat fan that (in the male) is typically brightly colored. Anoles have some ability to change color.
Speedball
Whizzer
Firestar
Spitfire
MVP
Techno
Marvel Girl
Why Firestar?
I was never able to get past Master of the World.
Yeah, that's when I first realized that Byrne was starting to lose the magic touch.
Why Firestar?
Yeah, she has fire powers, so her name makes perfect sense. It's just unfortunate that her debut (in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends) was so close to that of Starfire over at DC... I'd wager that the creators were unaware of each other though, considering animation's longer lead time.
I don't agree about Spitfire either - she's a wartime hero, isn't she named after a fighter plane?
Wolverine and Sabertooth
Wolverine and Sabretooth are among the best, but I get the feeling you just don't like the characters.

Yeah, Spitfire’s were known for speed and maneuverability (and Falsworth was a speedster).
Spitfire, Firestar, Starfire...all good names!
*Lady* Stilt-Man goes all the way back around the dial to become hilarious.
Lady Stilt-Man is comedic genius lol.
Why Firestar?
Yeah, Firestar actually sounds cool, and it makes some sense with her power

I never realized that Firestar and Starfire had basically the same name, only with the words in different positions... I feel dumb for not seeing that, it's so obvious lol.
I never liked any of the Kid codenames.

Lol you are very wrong.

And funnily enough, DC had a superheroine in 1976 named Starfire.

DC has an Aquaman villain called "Magneto", and another one called "Spider Girl" too lol.
Stacy X
Kid Omega
Bird-Brain
Firefist
Wallflower
Black Goliath

Terrible name. It was one thing when it was twin girls merged together, and they used "M" as a metaphor because it looked like two people holding hands. BUT when there was revealed to be a real Monet, she had no business taking that name for herself. Doesn't fit and is generic as Hell. Try to search her character only typing in the name "M." lmao. Really I am not crazy about Penance either. It's wonderful step up from the horrible"M" alias. But I think Rachel's new name "Prestige" would've better suited Monet.
Sabretooth is a good alias that's been wasted on the wrong character. Transfer it to a more fierce hero or villain. Easily done since the character has been put on a bus for what could be a few years, so not like he needs an alias in his current position.
I think Goldballs needs no explanation. lol
