looks like that leaked plot synopsis was probably accurate.
I don't quite know how I feel about this yet, but I suspect that I will watch it *shrug*
I'm personally getting the feeling that this is the sort of movie which I will watch once and be very impressed with in terms of the perforamnces, but afterwards have no desire to ever rewatch ever again whatsoever.

AKA Oscar bait.
Yeah, this isn't marketed towards me at all lol.
Looks interesting, although the director's resume is anything but enticing.
He'll get a strong nomination for best actor for this.
Not seeing any relation to anything comic books here and it doesn't even seem like its trying to be a comic book movie. Probably a pass for me. Taxi Driver can use an update, I guess, but this movie doesn't even seem to do that.

Hated: GG Allin And The Murder Junkies is the main reason folks should be interested in Joker.
I have a feeling this will join movies like Fight Club and V for Vendetta as a decent-to-good film that attracts an utterly insufferable fan-base.
I've already seen a lot of comments from dudes squeeing how there's "finally" a comic book movie for "adults." And a lot of these guys seem to admire the Joker character a bit too much.
Never cared for the joker, outside of BTAS. So I’m not remotely interested in seeing this mess.
I'll probably watch it when it's free. It looks like Oscar bait that could have some seriously good acting and be a quality flick, but I also get the sense it doesn't have to be called "Joker" either.

Didnt the director do the first Hangover movie? Imo Hangover and Tropic Thunder are the best comedies of the last 20years. Tastes will differ though
I hope it does r rated more like logan than deadpool though. with the drama, I think this could work. It looks like a breath of fresh air comic book movie.
