I demand Hal stop by the space shop to get some space donuts with some space coffee!
Great. Now Hal's rousting giant homeless space dudes.
"Where's my money, old man?"
I look forward to Hal grilling "Space Huggie-Bear" for info.
I admittedly lost any interest I had in this book because of this plus the "teen GL". Might give the first issue a shot, but I don't think I will continue with it.
Oooo hopefully he'll have a space Segway!
perhaps that was what morrison envisioned for hal's "day to day" activities?
In all fairness to Morrison, Earth being "sold on the black market" technically isn't a universe-ending scenario. So he wasn't really lying about that. lol
Sounds like grand theft planetary - right up a space cop's alley.
This is Morrison's idea of "day to day of a being a space cop" :p.

Exactly. The entire issue's concept fits Morrison's idea of superheroes as "the everyday blown up to the nth degree". In this case, it's using Kajar-Ro's Gamma Gong to tell a story about human trafficking, which isn't even that far off from the subtext of his original appearances.

It looks like it will be the next goto comic of the year after Mr Miracle wraps up. What we have seen thus far is great stuff.... Space Cop? That looks like troll bait.

How's it troll bait? Morrison seems to be using the Green Lantern Corps as a police force in his story. It may get a little bit grandiose, but I've seen nothing to suggest he's trolling.

Maybe you are right but whenever I hear that GL is a space cop, I feel that trivializes Green Lantern. The greatest hero on earth, the man without fear, and who seeks justice, protects the meek and deals with moral complications every day is not just a space cop... he is The GREEN LANTERN!!!!
