When is it due for release?
When is it due for release?
April, but don’t know exactly when.
GIANT-SIZE X-MEN: NIGHTCRAWLER #1 WRITTEN BY JONATHAN HICKMAN WITH ART AND COVER BY ALAN DAVIS
HICKMAN AND DAVIS HAUNT THE XAVIER SCHOOL!
Superstar writer Jonathan Hickman teams with legendary artist Alan Davis (X–MEN, EXCALIBUR, AVENGERS) for an eerie tale of adventure! When the X–Men lose contact with the Greymalkin Habitat, it falls to Nightcrawler to lead a mission into the unknown!
Thanks Su_W.
That means we are getting a GSXM February, March and April...so far...
Thank the Goddess I'm not interested in a few of the newer books because I sure as hell won't have the money to pay for them all.
Rachel in her 'old' hound costume? Davis is fanservicing himself.
It's her definitive look. Starjammer blues is its evolved next step. Turkey Coat is a step from that, toward super-heroic fashion. Reloaded Marvel Girl and Gold Prestige are backwards and not right.

I hate the prestige costume and prefer the trench coat look.

Be very nice to have a TP collection off all of the GSXM when they’re all out.

An argument can be made whether Rachel is introverted enough to wear a trench-coat in combat. On paper, she absolutely is, given her tormented history. But after years in spiked skin-tight leather, I have a hard time thinking she'd cover up. But then I look at the Starjammer Blues' halter and midriff and think: that is too much skin.
Yay, For Davis! [
And those bug legs look familiar.
They remind me of Cerise' bug armor from when she first appeared in Excalibur.

The shadowed legs remind me of the Sidri from Uncanny 154 and 168.

Thanks, that was it.
Might not be them, but they’re what I was thinking of.

Why not? From the cover, it looks like Nightcrawler is facing elements of his past in some horror story with a lot of shadows.
Nightcrawler's style works better with stories with a light tone starring in a genre movie, in my opinion.
I wanna see Davis tackle Ray's turkey coat outfit!

Ah, you too, you think she looks like a turkey in this costume. I think that Davis has too good a taste for that…

I too prefer our swashbuckling Elf, or a story with Mommy Dearest, but, currently, any port in a storm, I’ll not be churlish, I’d have accepted 42 pages of him working on drainage reports for The Council just to watch Alan draw him again.
There’s not much to go on.
Bug legs, possibly Sidri?
Bats?
Rachel?
John Proudstar/Thunderbird?
Not seeing an immediate connection between these elements.
It’s looking like a horror story, that’s all I’ve got.
No idea what Hickman is planning, but I don’t think Alan can do anything without injecting some humour into it.
Turkey jacket is one of the most iconique redesigns of the past decade.
Well it seems you've managed to get your hands on an advance copy of the issue...
I'm not really sure what you mean by this being "fanservice".
How do any of what I said require for me to have read the issue? I'm confused about what you're confused about.
